Like say Tarn and Bludgeon.. well, Tarn really, I store the cannons on Bludgeons back, but him, and maybe 86 Kup, even ER Prime to an extent, since I took off the front wheels. But they do kinda feel more action figure than robot in disguise sometimes.

If you got legacy animated Optimus prime, you could use a cover of the theme song instead of the real theme. That would be a good alternative to the copyright issue
Anyone else think Thundertron's lion mode kinda looks like something out of Mega Man Battle Network? I'm kinda tempted to get him purely based on that.

I had the original as a kid but as many toys have happen, it was lost to time. I was super happy when they made this guy in legacy, it was an instant buy for me.
Bought this because it's SO different from anything they've put out in recent years. The alt mode has a Voltron feel to it. And he just has SO much character even though I never read the story, which means I have to now.
This figure is honestly an early contender for my toy of the year, just out of how effortless he feels. Articulation is a bit limited in places but what moves REALLY moves, the transformation is like butter and you can actually open the range of articulation of the lion by just not doing the last step of plugging the front arms in. This is on top of him looking absolutely gorgeous (i put him with my velilocitron override, and they compliment so good). For a character that was met with resignation, confusion, and doubt, i was not expecting to find a contender for at least the top 15 generations style figures.
Great review That Toy Guy!!! I never thought Transformers pirates would be their own faction, but the Star Seekers are among the best villains of the Transformers comics. Really enjoyed that opening shot of Thundertron on the Black Pearl. :D Keep on begin amazing.
That intro has to be one of the best yet. Not a huge beast mode but I absolutely love the gruff pirate aesthetic and vibes Thundertron gives off. And given he can be either interpreted as either a Wolf or Lion he'd be a great contender for a Legacy G1 Carnivac. Really curious to know why this guy would get both a Voyager, and Leader Class release in the same year.

I waited in vain for him to show up in Prime. I even originally thought when they were teasing Beast Hunters with the Predacon symbol that they were going to introduce the Star Seekers.
I've warmed to him a bit since, but the wrist swivels being completely blocked and the other limitations (especially as a lion) meant he's one of the very few TFs I've ever been genuinely disappointed by when I got him.
I don't know too much abt Thudertron, but he is definitely cool! Idk if I want this guy, but he looks really good! I actually have an idea for a TFP Season 4, which would take place after the movie. Its more of a basic layout. Basically, Optimus would still be dead, Knockout would be kinda doing his own thing, neither 'Bot nor 'Con, The main characters would be Bumblebee, Smokescreen, Ultra Magnus, Arcee, Bulkhead, & Wheeljack, but Bee, Smoky, & Arcee would be (even more) major characters. The basic setting would be on Cybertron, mainly, while Ratchet would still be on Earth (he went back after the movie). & the season would take place a few years after the movie. The human characters; Agent Fowler, Jack, Miko, & Raf would _AT THE VERY LEAST_ be mentioned, but they _could_ show up if the story allowed it. & Thundertron & his Crew aboard the Tidalwave would be major antagonists/characters, Idk abt full-on villains, cuz again, Idk Thundertron too well, but still. & the season would have a few bits like what are the Predacons doing now, where did Galvatron (hes Galvatron to me) go after the movie?, etc etc. But, nothing much of that, the season's story & plot would mainly be everything else I mentioned. & ofc new characters could be introduced. Does anyone like my idea/basic layout for a potential Season 4 of TFP? I like it alot. It would be really cool! Also, I don't remember when, but quite a bit ago, I read the Exodus novel, but never finished it. Again, its been quite a bit ago since the last time I read it, so I honestly don't know what to do.

Huge heads up btw. Be careful with the feet. The section that flips around for the lion mode is held in by basically a giant c clip. But that clip can break and did on my copy (it cracked pretty significantly) I need to contact hasbro for a replacement still but idk how

But this version has a bit more of this Davy Jones vibe I was looking for.
Does the sword store on his hip panels? Cause that's probably the reason why it doesn't store on his back since most pirates have their swords on their hips

I used to eat so much passatempo as a kid, but also awesome figure, shame they're both hard to find and expensive here

You'd hope the leader figure has more than just some added extras, because anyone who picked up the voyager is going to feel ripped off.
