  • True Crime RUclipsrs, we are back! This week's Snapped & Skincare installment of Clean Skin, Dirty Deeds is about Susan Wright, also known as the Blue Eyed Butcher.
    This week in true crime, I am covering Susan Wright, who was convicted for the pre-meditated murder of her husband, Jeffrey Wright, a Houston businessman, for insurance money. She argued that it was in self-defense during a drug fueled tirade by her husband who had just hit her son.
    This week's skincare routine will be a daytime skincare routine featuring one of my favorite face mask for brightening and hydration, the Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask. It is so luxurious!

    She did not think he was going to come back to life, I’ve heard her repeatedly say she was afraid he was going to come after her, he was going to get up and keep hurting her. I think it’s something about being in an extremely abusive relationship for that long that brainwashes victims into believing their abuser is almost invincible. Also she regularly had her basic rights violated while he got to do whatever. That makes someone trapped and abuse can weaken one’s self esteem. You have to look at it all when trying to understand the crime. I don’t support murder. I just see a lot of people misunderstanding abuse.

    • @BizzieBrittany
      @BizzieBrittany  3 года назад +1

      I definitely agree with you there. I mentioned this in one of my other comments (but may have cut it in the actual video) but I do think that she was conditioned, through the abuse, that nothing would stop him and no matter what she did, he would still come after her. So I get it. I also think she had some type of mental break during the attack because a person in complete control would probably not be able to do what she did and stab him so many times. I also think that is what caused her to go and get another knife (also with the conditioning). You also might think that seeing your child walk in in the middle of all of this would have maybe snapped her back into control of herself, but I can't speculate that either. Every situation and every victim reacts differently. I don't condone violence at all, but I understand it in cases of abuse, when the abused feel like it is the only way out.

    I personally have been through two abusive situations. One in my early 20s. (19-22) It was my first serious relationship. I was very naive. And he was abusive in every way. Luckily I made it out. And I'm grateful everyday that he did not father any of my kids.
    The second was in my mid 20s. (26-28 ish) I moved in with my grandparents because I was basically at rock bottom. I just was hoping for support. (Not financial, but a loving support system) I quickly learned why my mother dipped out right at 18 and rarely visits them. And the times she does visit is because she loves my grandma and wants a relationship with her. That is the only reason I still have contact as well. I knew that he did things that hurt my mom but she never really elaborated. I think she was hoping he would be different with me. So she didn't want her view of him to bias my relationship with him. However, My grandfather is a horribly controlling, mentally and emotionally abusive man. I didn't see it as a kid. He was awesome when I was a kid. (Although my mom also says he was awesome when she was a kid. It all started to go wrong at around 12 for her) Probably because as a kid, you still think your parents and grandparents know everything and your life is heavily based on their preferences. But as an adult, I've lived my own life and have my own views and that, apparently is abuse worthy. Everything that makes me me, if it was any different than what he thought I should be, he would yell and scream and physically back me into corners and intentionally try to induce panic attacks to torment me. (That's just the tip of the iceberg) He would do things like tell me he was relieved when my youngest daughter died. And then in the same conversation say she was HIS loss. HE lost a grandchild. And I wasn't grieving right.
    I am 29 now and have made it out and am doing well.
    With my ex, I was more so scared than angry
    With my grandfather, I have regular dreams about bashing his head in with a golf club. Or beating him with my bare hands. I feel nothing but rage toward him.
    And he thinks IM the problem.
    If the fact that neither my mom nor I will speak to him and I won't let my other daughter near him doesn't tell him anything, he will never get it.
    So I can understand why he was stabbed 193 times
    I don't think it was right to get the second knife and keep going, but I could definitely see him pushing her over her limit and her just stabbing and stabbing until she couldn't any more.
    Not saying what she did was okay, but I definitely understand.

      First of all, thanks so much for being courageous enough to tell your story in a public forum! God bless you for getting out of both of those abusive situations, I can tell that you are such a strong woman! I heart hurts for you with all of the pain you have had to endure, and my condolences on the loss of your daughter, I could not even begin to imagine what that is like! No one has the right to tell anyone how to live, let alone grieve. I m absolutely with you! I agree that, unfortunately, sometimes it takes violence to escape, or the victims get to a point where that is what they are driven toby the abuse. I also agree that the point where she crossed the line was getting a new knife to continue, rather than just taking her children and leaving once he was not able to come after her.
      Thank you so much for commenting and prayers for you and your family and I hope you continue to walk in strength and power my love! 💜💜💜

      @@BizzieBrittany thank you so much! It really means a lot to have so much support, even from strangers. I have been through tons of trauma. Mental, physical, sexual abuse, drug addiction, homelessness, jail, I've been shot at, held hostage, I watched the love of my life get his throat slit (he survived), ive even died and been resuscitated and a multitude of other things.
      But I'm okay now. I made it through, and I have a happy life now. I do peer support at my local behavioral health center.
      I'm so comfortable telling my story for 2 reasons. The first is because those types of situations were so normal and such everyday occurances, it never occured to me that wasn't normal and its considered trauma. It wasn't until I saw a therapist and told her some of the things that happened that I realized it wasn't normal. She's the one who told me it's trauma that I need to process. So in my mind because it was so normal, I have always been comfortable talking about it because it never occured to me its not normal. If that makes sense. The second reason is because I know there are so many other people out there just like me. Maybe if someone has gone through something similar, and they hear my story, they will realize they are not alone. Or maybe if someone sees that I went through it and made it out and I'm okay now, it can help someone know that they can make it too. If that makes sense.
      If hearing my story helps even just one person, it's totally worth putting my business out there.
      That's why I chose to go into the field of work that I did.
      But even still having so much support really really means a lot to me thank you guys so much. 💖

    I think she needs to be in jail. It's her word against the evidence or rather lack thereof. Whilst she is a POTENTIAL victim, Jeff is an ACTUAL victim because he was murdered and there's undeniable proof of that. The fact that domestic abuse in relationships can sometimes go undetected is not proof that Susan was a victim of domestic abuse.
    The evidence shows that she murdered her husband and tried to hide his body but after coming to terms that she could not get away with it, she reached out to her mom for help to cover up her crime.

    • @BizzieBrittany
      @BizzieBrittany  3 года назад +2

      A woman after my own heart! I am all about the facts too. For me, I think I am still torn because there are also facts that tell us that much of the abuse that takes place is never reported, told to anyone, or seen by anyone else. I think that is what makes this case so hard for me. There was testimony from previous girlfriends/fiancés that Jeff was very abusive and there was evidence of that by Jeff taking a plea for the charges that Misty brought against him, so I think her abuse was very probably very real. The facts of the case definitely support that no matter the reason for the initial attack, the second attack on defenseless person and the actions that followed put this case over the edge for me. I totally understand that if she was truly a battered woman, violence may have seemed like the only answer. I think though once she took the time to put her son back to bed instead of getting him out of there, and also going to get a new knife to attack Jeff a second time, after putting her child back to bed, that is what crosses the line for me personally.

  • @heathergabbysalomon3614
    @heathergabbysalomon3614 3 года назад +3

    Im with you on the abuse I never discredit any person claiming this. I will however look deeply into the claims. She stopped "killing" him( or was he already dead? ) when she tied any arm an then went to put her son back in bed. The "threat" was no longer a active "threat". 193. 193. 193. That was just overboard

    • @BizzieBrittany
      @BizzieBrittany  3 года назад

      Yep, I am definitely with you there. I do think that she must have had some type of mental break to cause her to do what she did, because the physical strength and stamina needed to stab someone so many times is unfathomable.
