The Spirit of St. Louis Part 4; Paris, Landing at Le Bourget

The final chapter of my recreation of Charles Lindbergh's solo New York to Paris flight in The Spirit of St. Louis. The flight was recreated using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 set at 100% realism, period weather maps, and dead reckoning navigation. Lindbergh's book, "The Spirit of St. Louis," was used as a reference in recreating this historic flight.

Nice landing. Unfortunatel, LeBourget at that time had no runway...just a BIG field!

Indeed! The only visual references Lindbergh had for landing were lights from the rows of cars that had parked on the field. Needless to say, Charles Lindbergh was an exceptional pilot!
