It is so fun to go there and just walk on the streets in the early morning when it's quiet. I also love walking on the W&M Campus - now that school is out, the next 2 -3 weeks will be lovely for walking there!
9:08 Ah yes! If I remember correctly the skull is more of a symbol of “memento mori” or remember you must die. Thank you for the tour. Pretty little town.
I think they take a bit of "creative license" with them. In the description, I added a link to a nice, current video I just found on RUclips- they do a lot more in-depth discussion about the wreaths. I was a little surprised at the skull! I don't remember it from last year. Someone suggested that it may have something to do with "memento mori" - I was thinking about the times when ghost stories were a part of Christmas tradition ... 🤔 thanks for watching!
Loved seeing the wreaths and decorations in Williamsburg. I have gone twice but never near Christmas. ❤
This is really beautiful, Reney! Thank you!
Very nice tour. Thanks for taking and posting this video
Awww I LOVE Colonial Williamsburg ❤ One of the few things I dearly miss after I left VA 😅

Beautiful video, Reney! I've been to Colonial Williamsburg in the summer, but never at Christmas. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! It's nice at Christmas - fireworks at night at the Capitol and the palace, lots of outdoor Christmas markets and an outdoor skating rink!
What s nice video. Thank you for uploading this. I really enjoyed it.
Take care -James & Bella
Thanks so much, James & Bella! Glad you enjoyed it!

yes! the times of "scary ghost stories and tales of the glories of Christmases' long, long ago...." It is very picturesque!
Are all the wreaths historically correct or an interpretation of the 18th Century? The wreath with the black skull (9:07)was horrifying! LOL
