- In this VladTV flashback, the late John Witherspoon detailed why Chris Tucker never appeared in another Friday film. According to Witherspoon, Tucker's starring role in the Rush Hour trilogy garnered him much fame and fortune that he couldn't justify returning to Friday. John also talked about every cast member making just $5,000 for the film, but Chris Tucker recently revealed he managed to get a little extra.

Ice cube was told not to worry about financing the movie which was $2 million because if the bombed he wouldn’t lose any money. But apparently that movie made 300 million overtime and they all had contracts that they signed. So in some ways he wasn’t in control of the finances until the second one came out.
