- Long been a instant classic between the mid to late 1990s. No question to say about this movie plus the featurette. In my mind as I was researching I never knew a Director's cut existed as it did the Theatrical version.

When I heard someone (I think it was Chris Tucker) say that the script was only 65 pages, I was stunned!!! That means that EVERYONE in that movie carried his/her own weight. That movie is too EXCELLENT. To the point that EVERY time you watch it, you laugh like it's your first time seeing it... EVERY time.

I love everything about this. The movie (snuck into it 3 times the first time we saw it), the fact that they had no $, the lack of filtering, the underdog actors, Cube, Bernie, Chris...it's just a pure example of what you can do if you commit to it! Long live FRIDAY, baby!

SemorreButte not that he wanted too much. Just that he wanted what wasn't in the budget...at the time. From the first movie. Over half the actors did their parts on good faith. Just to push a good movie.
The next one had a bigger budget but was the same idea. And Chris just wasn't having that.
So similar but not the sa,e. It wasn't he wanted too much money. Just that other movies, like rush hour, was giving guaranteed paychecks and cube couldn't do that yet
Kecia Harris I don't think the sequels are as good as the the first but Friday After Next wasn't that bad it actually had the same feeling as the original. Katt Williams made me laugh my ass off.

Ice Cube's got an IQ, he's a genius for getting Chris Tucker, Bernie Mac (god rest his soul) and CO. For Cube making music was easy but for movies it was hard work because it's all visual and watching yourself stuff up is harder and more embarrassing than listening to it, there's actors, then there's comedic actors, very hard to direct comedians because you never know when they could just splatter out something funnier than the original script, so well done Cube
