I grew up eating tomato sandwiches. They are my all time favorite. I have to try this version.

My grandma would make me grilled American cheese with sliced tomato sandwich. The fresh tomatoes came from her little backyard garden. My favorite summer sandwich. It was the best.

My FAVORITE way to eat tomatoes, and the way I learned to eat tomatoes, is covered in sausage gravy. There is something about the combination of the cold tomatoes and the warm sausage gravy that is magical! A a matter of fact, I generally won't make sausage gravy without tomatoes. It's THAT good! You gotta try it, Nicole!
