No, the design is a bit different so you can't interchange between the 5 and the 5 Go (the power is delivered directly though the base which requires the power contacts and all.
Good video. Would love to find the replacement innards. That part number produces no results on the internet. I really want to stack 2 battery column sections in parallel and eliminate the spacer column section so I can do an entire wedding without a battery swap.
@@djlouparis you could run any batteries like that with the proper connector. They just need to run in parallel so it doesn't change the amount of power delivered, just the run time.
@@DandyDoesIt oh sure, if you want to void warranty the world is your oyster. Thing is I have never run out of power yet. And I'll run them sometimes from pre-ceremony till nearly the last song as fills.
@@djlouparis Pretty sure I'm past warranty. I run mine as mains. Usually require a swap partway through open dancing. They work well for what I do. I'd just like to eliminate the clunky swap out.
So is this unit battery only or can you plug in and just use your battery power as needed? Also I have a duo and we do from small to ballroom and outdoor. Would you rely on one unit or does two make all the difference? Thx
Thanks for an insightful video!
I imagine the original Maui 5 (no "Go" in the name) cannot be upgraded to battery power? Do you know?

You could try to reach out to LD Systems, but I am 99.9% sure you cannot run the batteries like that.

You can plug in and use + charge simultaneously (albeit slower). This model is discontinued now with the Maui 5 Go 100.
