I would like to say that wario's final smash came from tilted... not touched... Edit: Same thing with sonic. His final smash came from sonic 2... not 3 Edit 2: I can understand if you don't have the consoles or just couldn't do it.
The Zero Lazer (Samus) is Smash original. It would be weird for it to be based on Phazon, especially since Smash 4 and Ultimate seems to _technically_ be based on Other M's rendition, not the Prime trilogy (or tetrology now?)
Meh, the mask doesn't really do much besides making King Dedede look badass, and probably some extra health. It's also one of my favourite boss battle in Kirby Super Star Ultra

Well, it was stated that Giga Bowser's increased size and appearance in the background were inspired from the Giant Baby Bowser fight from Yoshi's Island.
Some of these come from outdated games sadly. Bowser is more based on Galaxy, Marth is based on the DS game Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon, the Pokemon ones could have used current gen, etc. Still a nice video overall

I thought Bowsers came from super Mario Galaxy, because he actually grows big, floats in front of you, and then tries to punch you with his giant fist, just like the final smash.
Bowser has become giant several times but Giga Bowser specifically I think is inspired by the Melee boss and not by Yoshi's Island like this video suggests. Just my two cents.

Wells its more the clips of the origin. Giga Bowser was Melee's final event/adventure's secret boss but he used the boss from Yoshi's Island for origin. They aren't even similar.
@That Hanzo Main: Giga Bowser himself indeed comes from Smash but the idea that Bowser grows gigantic in the final battle is an idea from Yoshi's Island (including Giga Bowser's previous incernation, esp. in Melee adventure mode). Moreover, Giga Bowser in the previous Smash games is a buffed up Bowser whereas Ultimate has reworked his final smash by making him even *yet* bigger (bigger than most stages, in fact) and he therefore attacks from the background instead which, again, originates from Yoshi's Island. It even was stated in the E3 Direct that Bowser's final smash is based of Yoshi's Island moreso than the previous Smash games! Also, Mario's attack is a powered up fireball attack and SMRPG's Ultra Flame is the closest equivalent to it in games (kudos to both attacks coveing lots of area). Not so much of a stretch too.

Samus' one is from MP3's Gandrayda boss fight (when she's in Samus' form, she uses the zero laser) and Dark Samus' final smash is intended to reference the cutscene in Metroid Prime 3 on Norion, before the cannon is activated. DS enters through a window and uses her version if the zero laser.
Eh, that first part doesn't really hold true. Samus's final smash was first revealed at E3 2006 in the original Brawl trailer, while Metroid Prime 3 didn't release until over a year later.

Most of them have no "real origin", to be honest. They have some connections with the game of origin, of course, but they are mostly made-up by Mr.Sakurai & co. and are often not from any specific game. For instance, while Mario's Final Smash is somewhat similar to the "Ultra flame" move from _Super Mario RPG,_ I don't think it could be considered its origin. Why? Well, for starter, these moves don't even share the same name. If I'm not mistaken Mario's Final Smash is simply called Mario Finale. I feel like if it was really an intentional reference to _Super Mario RPG,_ they would have kept the name. More importantly, if it really was based on the Ultra Flame move, they wouldn't have made it vaguely similar to the real thing but rather keep its key elements there like, for instance, that ace of spade thing that appear before the attack and even use the same sound effect. Nintendo has simply associated Mario a lot with fire in the sports games and such so Sakurai uses that to create his Final Smash. On a side note, with this game having more "Cinematic Final Smashes", i kind of wish that we saw Mario actually grabbing a fire flower before doing his Final Smash, that would have made a bit more sense but, I digress. Anyway, I use Mario as an example but the same logic could be applied to many other fighters like Fox, Falco, MegaMan, Rosalina, Simon/Richter Belmont etc.
Actually most of them do have origins as Sakurai has stated many times (even in the direct talking about moves and smashes). I fact their entire move set is based off their games as best as they can

Wells its more the clips of the origin. Giga Bowser was Melee's final event/adventure's secret boss but he used the boss from Yoshi's Island for origin. They aren't even similar.
@That Hanzo Main: Giga Bowser himself indeed comes from Smash but the idea that Bowser grows gigantic in the final battle is an idea from Yoshi's Island (including Giga Bowser's previous incernation, esp. in Melee adventure mode). Moreover, Giga Bowser in the previous Smash games is a buffed up Bowser whereas Ultimate has reworked his final smash by making him even *yet* bigger (bigger than most stages, in fact) and he therefore attacks from the background instead which, again, originates from Yoshi's Island. It even was stated in the E3 Direct that Bowser's final smash is based of Yoshi's Island moreso than the previous Smash games!
Also, Mario's attack is a powered up fireball attack and SMRPG's Ultra Flame is the closest equivalent to it in games (kudos to both attacks coveing lots of area). Not so much of a stretch too.

Good video, with the exception of Samus' & Dark Samus' final smashes. Samus' one is from MP3's Gandrayda boss fight (when she's in Samus' form, she uses the zero laser) and Dark Samus' final smash is intended to reference the cutscene in Metroid Prime 3 on Norion, before the cannon is activated. DS enters through a window and uses her version if the zero laser.
Eh, that first part doesn't really hold true. Samus's final smash was first revealed at E3 2006 in the original Brawl trailer, while Metroid Prime 3 didn't release until over a year later.

Most of them have no "real origin", to be honest. They have some connections with the game of origin, of course, but they are mostly made-up by Mr.Sakurai & co. and are often not from any specific game. For instance, while Mario's Final Smash is somewhat similar to the "Ultra flame" move from _Super Mario RPG,_ I don't think it could be considered its origin. Why? Well, for starter, these moves don't even share the same name. If I'm not mistaken Mario's Final Smash is simply called Mario Finale. I feel like if it was really an intentional reference to _Super Mario RPG,_ they would have kept the name. More importantly, if it really was based on the Ultra Flame move, they wouldn't have made it vaguely similar to the real thing but rather keep its key elements there like, for instance, that ace of spade thing that appear before the attack and even use the same sound effect. Nintendo has simply associated Mario a lot with fire in the sports games and such so Sakurai uses that to create his Final Smash. On a side note, with this game having more "Cinematic Final Smashes", i kind of wish that we saw Mario actually grabbing a fire flower before doing his Final Smash, that would have made a bit more sense but, I digress.
Anyway, I use Mario as an example but the same logic could be applied to many other fighters like Fox, Falco, MegaMan, Rosalina, Simon/Richter Belmont etc.
Don't know why you listed Simon/Richter since the weapon he showed as the origin for Grand Cross is both identical in function and called Grand Cross.
