Brandon Tackett yeah I agree. the entertainment in my country is so frustating. so many talented people but dont have a chance to showcase. this is why I love K-pop and watching korean shows.
I think a big part has to do with Korean culture. In general, music is a big part of entertainment and past-time in Korea. To give you an example, Koreans of all ages from children to the very elderly all go to karaoke to hang out with their friends. It's also a family activity as well. My family goes to the karaoke every other weekend or whenever we're bored and we sing for hours. So I feel like in general, Koreans really like music shows as they already enjoy music in their past-time. I would say nearly 50% of all of the popular variety shows that air in the weekend are music shows (King of Masks, Fantastic Duo, Hidden Voice, KPOPSTAR, Show me the money, etc).
Here in the Philippines, most of the people knows how to sing and have great voices. they can only show it on social media. but that's that.
There is something so attractive about a man in a uniform .i can't describe it but it gets my heart beating everytime.

WHAT!! I'm Gobsmacked, when Gummy opened her mouth and sang 'You're my everything' honestly is powerful! DOTS and Gummy are honestly talented with these voices! Descendants of the sun had to be the best K-drama of 2016 honestly, the cast and staff took their time making this Drama and it honestly from a fan's point, it went great! THE OST songs were amazing and it was very touchy, I cried, honestly! It's a touching Drama!
