I try to hand launch when in areas like this just to keep the dust and sand out of my motors
I thought the same but it didn't seem to kick up much dust 🤔

This is such an underated drone. Just as good as the 3 Pro...

And the better looking of the 3, 3 Pro and 4 Pro!
It may be but I upgraded from the mini 3 to the 4 pro and it’s night and day difference in feature set. Night photography (mini 3 flies like it has a mind of its own cos it can’t see in the dark, 4 pro has IR sensors and flashlight at bottom so no issues and camera captures more light), active tracking and the gimbal cover is so much easier to put on/ take off. I got it for £500 whereas my mini 3 was £400 (both from eBay as brand new) so I think it was a very good upgrade and wouldn’t go back
@@PetkoKolev00 well yeh, I'm guessing there wouldn't be many people out there who would go back to the Mini 3 after owning the Mini 4 Pro... But still a great drone for a decent pilot.

@robsterlikesRonPaul I tend to disagree entirely because mini3p has active track and 360* obstacle avoidance. Alongside better nightmodd
For those that don't know after doing all these steps there is a button on far left of screen that you have to click for takeoff. Once you do that the drone takes off and hovers and is ready for flight.

I just bought the mini 3 as my first dip into drones (I already have too many expensive hobbies 😩) and the first thing I did was switch the controls to video game controls 😂 Now its very similar to flying a plane in GTA or something and thats been a loooot easier to get used to for me. I also have the DJI RC on the way and I cant wait to get it. If anyone else is considering it I would say its deeeefinitely worth the extra money to have the SD card right there on the controller and not having to connect, plug in, and disconnect your phone every time.
Yeah I got the mini 3 also and just ordered the rc controller.... I see a lot of eole talking about the mini3 pro but not enough discussion bout the mini 3. I look for gimbal setting what's the best settings for nite flights.... but most of these titles are under 3 pro not the mini so it was a relief when I saw your video 😊
So the RC controller def works with mini 3 and not just the Pro models ?

Dji mini 3/4 in my opinion can EASILY do hand launch/land.. except for crazy wind in which case hand landing is very hard.

I have the same drone mini 3 but the takeoff or landing voice is different than yours yours sound robotic and mines sound more human made

@@valkyrieaerialphotography2201 Ive been flying commercially for over 4 years and served in the military as a 15W. Something as goofy as this hasnt caused me to crash and wont anytime soon. It doesnt matter how fast you can set everything up if you still have to wait for the drone to get satellites. That process takes longer than connecting to the remote. You save time by powering the drone first, then setting up and powering on the controller. By the time the controller is done connecting youre ready to take off without having to wait on gps. Also, if this caused crashes it would be something for DJI to either fix or warn ppl about. Its a non issue
@@ITech2005 I guess Science, and the laws of Physics, change from Pilot, to Pilot, depending on your Military Service, AND/OR, the amount of years that you've been doing something INCORRECTLY, right?! Lol
DJI (as well as, the COMPETENT Pilots of the World) recommends this method. I didn't come up with it on my own.

Not to mention you should NEVER take off or land in a sandy area like that, as you’ll get dust and dirt in your drone !
You Show the Mini 3 pro Not the Mini 3 because it got Sensors
The mini 3 has downward sensors only, the pro has forward, backward and downward sensors
That's not the 3 Pro version, you see there are no rearward sensors at the front humps
That's not the Pro version...
camera drones suck, build youre own and learn to fly , you can do much better for the money
of course they "suck" they need to follow FAA guidelines.
