    I’ve said this once, twice & thrice- 🗣️CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. This is the proof yall need right here & I knew somebody had some old clips saved. They BOTH need to be SUED!! I’ve been saying they knew what they were doing. And it was all about money from the very start. From the BGC courses & memberships, to the SSC “education”, to CIK, to the products they pushed & promoted which they get kickbacks for… clearly they were cleaning up and it’s just so messed up! Really it’s 🤬’d up and I hope yall get justice in every way possible.

    Instead of acknowledging the issues, they simply change the rules, recently claiming that 'we are all learning together' and that 'we change course as we go along', but are too arrogant and unethical to explicitly admit their method can cause severe damage. They won't do that because their system is financially profitable. For every "specialist" who abandons the method, there are 10 more endorsing it. @@Zora87Peace I see British-Angolan trichologists. The more senior one has 30 years experience. They don't use raw pure oil or butters. HOWEVER, they prescribe daily leave ins and weekly deep conditioners with products that already have the right and low concentration of oils and butters formulated into them! I use water based scalp products instead of oil or butter based. I think the main issue with their method was not using products regularly which kept the dryness away and using products too regularly that create dryness. Stripping shampoos and gels create dryness. Wash ans go styling generally create dryness. There is a reason why our ancestors in Africa created confined styling instead of wearing the hair loose. Yes they used oils and butters but they lived with the natural environment. Swimming in rivers daily. Getting caught in tropical forest rain daily. Not living in polluted cities and towns with polluted water, polluted air and unhealthy food. Less modern stress.

    I remember when I first heard of those curly cuts and how they said they addressed the split ends. I REMEMBER! I remained skeptical, but I knew that was b.s. First off, no curl/coil is the same on one head of hair. Some are tighter than others. Some are looser than others. One side can be looser than the other. It's all differs in one head. So to now hear and see this is crazy. I don't know if they still have their old podcast episodes up, but if you listen to a lot of those, they do reveal their plot was to get naturals back into the salon chair with this new method that put would put YT University to shame and charge folks $500 for it.

      @melvinaJenkinsDavis Oh yeah. I remember those menu lists. I would have been in the same dry hair, breakage boat, had it not been for me living in a rural area. The nearest CIK stylist was about 3 hours away and with me being a new client and wanting color, my service would have been $500 or more starting out. Me being broke and distant from the nearest one kept me from following down that road.

    • @CerebralSigma
      @CerebralSigma 17 дней назад +3

      When I first saw these cuts, I thought the shape was really cute. But then I watched the process, and I could clearly see they weren’t addressing all of the hair in those k1nky cuts. And Aishia was always talking about girls coming into her salon with baby crowns. And immediately I knew it was because whoever the previous stylist was to cut that particular client’s hair was shaping it like you would do someone who has type 3 curls and they want a rounded shape (shorter crown area creates a round shape on type 3 curls). But for type 4 girls (that rounded cut), it will just give you a mullet. That’s why for us it’s better to cut the hair stretched. And I’m sorry $500 for a haircut is insane. Especially when you can get a blowout and trim for much less (h3ll even a silk press, deep condition, and a trim).
      Now I do agree with them about not using raw coconut oil on your hair and instead use moisturizing hair products with coconut oil (and butters) in them because they are specifically formulated for your hair. But when I started seeing people with dry hair (and complaining about their ends), that’s when I knew it was a hustle. If I was to use no leave-in and only a mousse or humectant gel as my styler, my hair would be so dry.

    The bizarre thing is, had they just incorporated stretched cuts in combination with curly cuts for shape, the controversy would be nowhere near as large now. Why did they go back on this? What did they have to gain by hiding this from their clients? It’s so odd.
    Other than that, their biggest mistake was straying too far from scientific consensus on hair. EVERYBODY’s hair needs oils and fats, regardless of texture and race. Hair oiling is deeply ingrained in Indian culture and their hair is type 1 to 2. They’re also notorious for having crazy long hair. Same with the Chad women using chebe. Crazy long hair despite leaving in a heavily oily/fatty product in there for days at a time. Even cheap drugstore hair products marketed towards white women have oils in them.
    The most interesting thing I realised when I was trying out the no oils/no butters method was, when I strayed out into general curly hair content aimed at other races with type 2 and 3 hair, guess what? They were all using curl creams and leave ins FILLED with oils and fats before they even let a gel touch their hair. All the while we were being brainwashed by these two to believe those of us with type 4 hair didn’t need it 😂 crazy stuff. They need to help accountable for a lot.

They had consumers who went to comestology school for the sole purpose of getting a license so they could become Cut It Kinky trained and ONLY service curlies/tight curlies and hopefully roll in the dough like their mentors who often spoke on how to monetize the business of curly hair. If have seen a few move away from those BCG/CIK practices but many stand 10 toes deep in it. Many have chanhed their practices but will not admit the real reason why. Some of the stylists have actually had to close their businesses for a while because the model is not sustainable, especially for a new stylist. I am so happy the stylist I did find on their directory did not ever fully subscribe to their practices, BUT even with that, I did. I think my own desire to wear my hair short "saved" me from an eventual necessary big chop and also paying attention to what was happening to Shelly, Rosie, and others, and Afrikan Hair God's commentary. Why am I not surprised. I guess people just had to find out for themselves. Just because people are loud and selling fake courses doesn’t make them right. Anyway, as I have always said “curly cuts” are not a real thing. Hope people finally get back to professional haircuts and professional training.

      The crazy part is they duped the stylist into thinking that they were. Which then duped the consumer into thinking that they were too! It’s wild! 😆

      @@shelly.v.247 I understand why some stylist fell for the funk. We know our hair type has been neglected by the industry so it probably sounded like a dream come true for someone to be offering a course for our hair type. The thing is that our hair is still hair, and no hair type benefits more from precision cutting than ours. There are basic fundamentals that must always be followed. So a even if you take a professional cutting class you will learn the fundamentals, then you make appropriate adjustments on products based on the needs of the hair type (which ours is not going to be covered in class). The no oils or butters (and the hatred for grease smh) thing should have sounded like madness to everyone from the beginning.

      @ Yes I agree but many can barely do their hair let alone understand it all.
      We all must use better discernment period! 😓

    Real hairstylists cut naturally curly hair WET. Stretching makes NO rational sense.
