I was 19 working in a call center. Went flat broke after purchasing their tickets and paying rent that month. Had to survive on the office pantry biscuits for a few weeks. Looking back, totally worth it. This will forever be a memory. Looking back, it's also nice to see very few people on the phone with their camera those days. Everyone just enjoying the pure music.

This day was something I cannot put in words, I was the little boy there standing in the front section where I irritated an old man by asking him, are we really going to see James play his explorer? And he said you have asked me this trillion times already, this is real and they are here in Bangalore! It was my first concert, I will forget anything, but I cannot forget that moment when I made an eye contact with Kirk. I have so many things to share. I was in a taxi when I was going to the venue, and the metalheads were so loud that time that the taxi man said I will kick you all out and one guy said "f__k yer wife." There you go, another disaster which is why it took us so long to reach the venue, and when I saw the hoarding, it was METALLICA! Dammit! I spent the whole day without water, and then there was a girl who was showing her cookie box from her jeans, I didn't delve there, but she was standing just next to me and smiling and then I don't know where she disappeared. It was a day full of madness. So many things happened, I can just go on and on. I cannot believe it all happened.

I can't ever forget this. I was scared as shit before, knowing that the gurgaon gig had been cancelled. We all just followed the instructions by their safety advisor guy like obedient sheep. "SAFETY FIRST".. that's what he said at least 10 times, and we all nodded our heads in agreement. But once they were on stage.. Man, it was something special.. Just by watching this, anyone can feel the energy of the crowd.. It felt like we all were enthralled by the same emotions.. "So long you have waited". It was apparent to all and even the band, James acknowledged it. The Memory Remains.. and it shall always. \\m//

So lucky to have grown up in Bangalore. This was 2011 though. By then, younger kids were already into EDM and recent migrants more into Bollywood/Punjabi.
Those of us who grew up here in the late 90's and 2000's were much more into rock and metal. Cool city, cooler peeps :)

This is a glimpse of the Metallica of old... this is what you saw on Live Shit: Binge & Purge in Seattle in 1989... the power, the speed, and of course the all important vulgarity that has been lost slowly over their thirty years. Thank you for posting. I wish they could come to San Antonio, Texas, USA and perform like this... that would be the experience of a lifetime. Thanks again for a wonderful video, definitely going in my favorites and on Facebook for all of my other metal-head friends.

Me and my buddy travelled 400 kms to watch this and managed to squeeze into the 20-25th row. Met a bunch of cool bengali guys, puffed away and had a amazing evening. The sound, the atmosphere, the performance were all incredible and left me ecstatic.
Best of all - Fortune, fame mirror vain gone insane but the memory remains.

The memory remains! The last minute gamble with exorbitant flight fares from Delhi to Bangalore to witness the four horsemen was worth every chance. The epic moment was the CISF airport officials allowing muddy dirty jeans and Sot faces at the airport next day. Glad to be tolled.
