The Legend of Zelda (ゼルダの伝説) is an adventure game that needs no introduction to most NES players.
This time, Link is not just satisfied with collecting the Triforce and saving the princess; he feels like getting through Hyrule with a lot of shiny artifacts and weapons, even if he never uses them after getting them. In this run, the player collects the best version of every object and status upgrade, including all the heart containers, every inventory item, the best sword, and both bomb upgrades. Link even buys the Bait an extra time more than required, so that the bait remains in his inventory at the end of the game.
This run is a 1497 frame improvement over the previous published run ( tasvideos.org/... ) of this category, For more details about what constitutes a 100% run, see the submission comments ( tasvideos.org/... ).
We also have other runs for The Legend of Zelda: an any% run through the first quest ( tasvideos.org/... ), a 'swordless' first-quest run ( tasvideos.org/... ), and an any% run through the second quest ( tasvideos.org/... ).

People seem to be confused about why the TAS skips certain items like the white sword and blue ring.
This is explained in the description, but I think that calling this an "all items" run is the cause of the confusion. A better name might be "full inventory" or "all final items." The goal is only to have, by the end of the game, the fully upgraded version of every item in the inventory as well as all heart containers and Triforce pieces. The blue candle was bought because it saves time; skipping it and only getting the red candle would still have satisfied the "all items"/"full inventory" requirement, but it would have been slower.
People keep mentioning how he "forgot" the blue sword and ring, but grabbed the blue candle... They forget that the blue candle is a time saver, not a requirement for this category.
They didn't even read the description 🗿
@@the8thark I mean would the run not be called "Source requirement all items" if it was the way you describe it? Hence not poor explanation just people not understanding speedrunning terms or reading description.
@@the8thark But also on that note; it would be better to ask if they don't understand rather than immediately attempt to discredit. I know sometimes in the description it doesn't have all the information on the requirements to be fulfilled.
Maybe "full inventory" would be a better title.
Every non-replacable, non-consumable item is what I initially did for my first iteration of the "all items" TAS in 2012. That excluded Big Shield and Red Potion, but people didn't liked that, so the second iteration collected those. And it stand at that since.
I like the part where Link, he fill up his hearts, so he can shoot his sword with power.
I don't know how to speed run, it took me 35 tries to find what I need to get the master key as one of my first goals, but i was super nervous when he went to fight Gannon with one heart, lol great vid much love to all you who find these new ways to bring back great memories!
My god the rng manipulation this must have had
Very impressive
This human is really good at the game.
awesome
had no idea the old men in the dungeons sold you a bomb capacity upgrade and not bombs themselves until I saw this run. Always thought they looked like a scam. I'll have to remember that when I play this next time.
31:36 my man sat there and accepted his fate 💀
I think what the TAS title was supposed to mean and the item requirement rules could've been solved with a commentary track.
Why not just call it 100%?
31:27 damn!!!
Blew my mind! 🙄
11:43 Started having A keys (which means infinite).
How did you always get 50 Rupees every time in the money making game?
I'd also like to know how he passed through the blocks in the dungeons to get to the staircases.
Plus the bomb placement seems to far off to work.
I assume that each particular entry has 50 rupees, but the first entry it will be in the middle. Also, with the re-entry of getting 50 rupees, I assume since Link never moved off the doorway, the game still assumes the 'first entry' manipulation.
I honestly have no clue, but that's usually how these manipulations work.
@@BabyDingo33 I figured out later that it was done on a PC and basically done through cheating.
@kingrex1931 I see. That's a bit disappointing.
You needed sixteen heart containers to play level 9 according to the instruction booklet
Chatterbox doesn't say much
Y didn’t the old man give link a Pokémon a sword isn’t going to help link catch them all
the ending theme sounds like super mario bros 2
I only had the honor of playing Zelda when I put an emulator on my computer 😅😅✌🏻
Man said ITS A COLLECT A THON
Hey this video is falsely advertised you said ALL ITEMS but you finished without any bombs left! 🤔🤔🤤
Super juego
Woah that's weird
Let's play money making game
indeed !!!
"Blue Ring" , "Iron Sword" ??????
think of the category as a “100% item screen” category rather than literally all items
Everything looks ok, nevermind hes pagewarping
Not "all items". Never once got the white sword nor the blue ring. Yes, the upgraded magical sword and red ring were gotten. But not the others.
Damn
*Not all items. Consult the instruction manual or watch the title screen intro.*
"All items"? No blue ring or white sword. Sure they get written over, but they are still items as well. This is not an all items run. You bought the blue candle that gets overwritten by the red candle, that you got. Skip the blue candle if you are gonna skip the other two "items". Call it a "max item upgrade" run. It still wouldn't be "all items".
Wooden boomerang.. replacement bait.. but.. eh..
Not a requirement for this category. Blue candle is a time saver, not a requirement. Think before you discredit someone's TAS.
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
@JerpPursh dude... really? Just don’t.
@@justinmcdonald4822 Seriously, pull your head out of your own ass. It's not OP's fault that the category is misleadingly named. You can talk about rules in your self-righteous tone and throw around accusations all you want, that won't ever change the fact that this is *objectively* not an "all" items run.
That dungeon map was a swastika
Pretty weak to not collect all items in an "all items" tas.
Agreed,, and i wonder how long it would take if he didnt glitch half the time
