I should mention that goop is different on console and PC. Goop slows down the players sensitivity which allows you to avoid damage by walking around them. PC, this usually doesn't work as well because they can nudge their screen a lot and avoid the sensitivity. It doesn't help that Chomper has a huge hit box. If you want to avoid damage, you have to approach from the side of the back because of the sensitivity difference. The effect is more powerful the lower the players sensitivity which is also stupid. Note: controller on PC and Keyboard and mouse on Xbox can't take advantage of this.
I don't think it really works that way, I play on keyboard/mouse on PC with sens literally as high as i can set it, and i have to move my mouse from one side of the mousepad to the other like 3 times to even turn 180°
Good news, I don't plan on stopping anytime soon, but things will probably slow down a bit. Life has decided to catch up with me so I've got a bit less time for RUclips right now, but I'll make stuff when I can!

When using spikeweed if you dont want to swallow just back off a little and distance yourself you can still chomp but won't be in range to swallow makes it very nice for just spikeweeding and nabbing a kill before burrowing and getting another quickly Also enjoying the gw2 vids and editing keep it up!

In fact, most of the armor characters are pretty crap. If it was possible to completely rework them, they could retain their original health, get slowed down, but in return get increased damage and have a shield effect (similar to those of z-mechs, Superbeans, pirates in a barrel, etc.).
6:16 after going over this section a few times, you placed your spikeweed on the left side of the SB which caused it to miss. Also it didn't help that he was in party time so it's a bit harder to time it right.
Part of me thinks it might be better to run Chomp Cannon on this? A direct hit followed by a few chomps should be enough to kill just about anything that isn't a mech, and would allow some mitigation of the limited range.
Naw he should be winning matchups up close via goop into spikeweed anyways, under-utilization of spikeweed is the main problem with that so far. Taking away chomper's best support and utility option for something less consistent and with twice the cooldown just to occasionally one tap 2 classes isn't very worth it at all. He'd be more generally "successful" by doing more sidelining and using goop largely for the sake of supporting teammates too, but that also doesn't make for very good footage I'd imagine.

Armor chomper wasent bad in the first game cause it was more slower pace, I think because how much faster gw2 plays armor chomper and most chompers in general just won’t perform well. Outside of grabbing a burrow kill then getting lit up by the entire zombie team
Armor chomper, as with all other chompers, bordered on completely unusable in gw1. Compared to gw2 they had slower movespeed across the board, worse biting hitboxes, all of them but exactly armor had worse damage outputs, slower swallowing (not that swallowing was ever good ofc), spikeweed did not arm instantly in gw1 and thus had almost no real in-combat utility, gw1 regen mechanics let them get poked down to "permanent" half health while not having good ways to poke at enemies back, the maps were significantly more vertical and therefore completely unkind to chompers, goop's sensitivity drop could be largely counteracted on console via having high sensitivity (this is now "fixed" on gw2 console making goop significantly stronger), gw1 engineer had significantly less counterplay than gw2 engineer and was a very hard counter, and in general chompers just felt clunkier in gw1 previous to many qol changes. They were so bad lol
@@johnbiff2664 Interesting, I didn't consider how much stuff like the half-health regen mechanics would make an impact. Glad I'm doing this in GW2, then.
