OriginellerName 12345 beruflich fahr ich jede Woche ein Auto von Europcar! Alles schon gefahren... letzte Woche den neuen Golf SportsVan... dieser ParkPilot ist zum kotzen... piept wegen jeder Kacke! Mag nicht soviel Elektronik! Bin schon locker über 40... vielleicht deswegen... ich bin Anfang der 90er Jahre mit BMW E30 eingestiegen... dann Golf 1 bis 5... der 5er war mir dann schon zu hässlich! Mercedes CKlasse war auch nix... sogar einen alten Opel Kadett gefahren🙊 zur Zeit seit 2Jahren BMW krank... nur E38 und E39... aber nur V8... E46 CABRIO ist für mich perfekt! Leider darf ich nicht mehr wegen der Frau!😢 und jetzt durch Freunde weil mein 5er kaputt gegangen ist... hab mir einen alten Audi A4 gekauft... und denke an Allrad... vielleicht ein Audi A6 4,2 V8... mit 299PS... Sollen richtig stabil sein besser als der S6 mit 340PS! So jetzt sag ich Dir noch was... Ende 2017 war ich auf der Autobahn und kam ein Geisterfahrer entgegen! Zur Zeit hab ich Angst auf der linken Spur zu fahren... es war so knapp... der Typ hatte über 3Promille... ich frag mich WTF warum brauchen wir überhaupt soviel PS! Trotzdem ist es geil! Bin den neuen M140 gefahren Umbau von Schnitzer... 670Nm... war ne Rakete... es ist wie eine Sucht trotzdem muss man genug Erfahrung damit haben und gut umgehen können mit viel PS! Man gefährdet sich selbst und vor allem die anderen! So und nun sag ich es Dir nochmal die alten Autos haben trotzdem eine Seele! 😂👍

Aber es ist immernoch ein Unterschied, ob man einen R32 oder einen Trabant fährt. Beide sind alt, aber lösen vollkommen unterschiedliche Gefühle aus.

Better than the current Golf, which sounds muted and artificial.
Considering the new Golf is a 4 cylinder it will NEVER sound the same. So it makes sense it's not as good sounding. They are a lot faster though lol. Pretty sure a new GTI can destroy an R32, Golf R wouldn't even be a race.

stock exhaust is still the best. it gives specific sound to this car. i think the older brother vr6 is maybe more brutalish despite the lower HP, its not faster then r32, but when it kick, it kicks
Golf R could be more powerful than this car.... but, the sound of this r32... its the best of the entire Golf history.

I drive a 1.8 tsi with 231 hp and 346 Nm, faster than this but without the sound. Outside and inside I might add. And normal seatbelts. And some luxury. I like the exhaust note, but that terrible creaking in the interior!

Stock Mk4 R32, pulls like stock Golf 6R if I remember right..
Snake Plisskin If a car "feels" quicker, does'nt mean it actually is. Getting a car up to tempo is a matter of fighting physics.
Driving the Manual R32 fast, is like Art in motion.
And the Mk4 V5 20V is about as quick as most 5/6 Gti's that you will encounter.

If I ever go AWD, a manual R32 would be my first choice.
I'm really interested how it will react to some air-flow improvements.

But I must say, it seems like sooo much fun to drive and learn this car.
The engine has a nice power-band, the drivetrain does grip a lot and combined with that steering rack, seems like a real joy.
And pretty bullet proof engine itself was'nt it?
VR5 and VR6 Golf 4/5 are desparately slow. The R32 DSG is way over 20 seconds 100-200. A mk5 GTI is around 19 i think. The mk6 r is around 17 stock.
They sound awesome, but they are heavy and 4wd eats even more power.
A tuned gti or r with 2.0 tsi is in a different league.
