Today, supremely confident host, Wade, challenges contestants Mark and Bob to get vulnerable and talk about the insecurities around their achievements.
Wade talking about being at a wedding with introverts really resonated with me. I have felt the exact same way in just about every social setting. The whole "why won't you stop talking, WHY WON'T YOU START!?" is almost one for one what i've thought when I wanted to talk with someone who wouldn't. It really helps to know I'm not alone in this and that it's no one's fault in that situation. It's ok for me to not talk just as much as it's ok for me to talk. Some people would prefer not to and that's ok.
One of my issues with adhd is with wanting to do something that I really want to do just my brain says I can't even if I want to do it. It causes a lot of issues I'm my life to we're I think I can do any thing. I want to to be good at something I want to be able to be good at working on cars i cant get my mind on this mind set. What mark said really reaches out to me. The adhd medicine really helps but i hate taking the medicine. I always used to take to much and get sunk into a deep addiction with the medicine. I never wanted to take it but my parents made me but i was to yong to understand and now being way older and now understanding how much it really effects me
I actually watched a video recently about the psychology behind manifestation and it's a bit different than how Mark seems to view it. It's not just saying something is going to happen, so it does. There's more to it. Not that I'll probably be able to do that video justice, but it essentially said that if your goal would be viewed as a positive thing by others around you, if you believe it's a positive thing, and you really actually want that thing, then that's manifestation and that those forces combined will affect how you think about the thing. i.e. If everyone around you says that working out is good, you believe it's good for you and you really want to do it, you will see working out in a positive light. If you're thinking positively about your goal ("manifesting" it), you will be more likely to actually do it. The thing that people either don't realize or tend to forget is that manifesting something doesn't mean it's going to magically fall in your lap. You have to keep working toward it as well.
