Great to here. My parents took me to these events when I was a kid and I loved it so I’m keeping it alive. Hope your sons do the same and start memories of there own.

You can see pomonas pricing the average fan out I used to go to the drag races starting in the 70s up until about 5 years ago and it's each year it's getting worse and worse with the price

As an 80’s baby growing up in Pomona you don’t realize these things since the folks take care of everything. I honestly go for the memories but I here it all the time with prices. Tailgating and bring your own food and drinks is a must unless you want to spend a few 100 for the day.

My track's voting on whether to close for good next wknd (Dec 2nd), and NHRA's already selling tickets for next year's meet. Ironically, it's mainly because of how badly NHRA has screwed us. They've always hated us, so it's no surprise really. Sad though. I pretty much grew up there as my dad helped find the property it was built on, helped build it, and my mom and I both worked there for years. I guess a stockholder owned track can't compete w/millionaire owned mega-tracks today. W/all the comments I saw on Baytown by whiney assed racers when they announced they were closing, I'm not shocked. Saddened, but not shocked.
