You ever do an engine and transmission flush on your 56? I definitely need to do that on mine.
@@iancravatt I’ve never flushed them just change the engine oil regularly. all i use is T4 deseil oil for the engine and i’ve hanged the trans oil once. parts are real hard to find. ebay usually and i hunt them down when there available. i try and buy even if i don’t need it at the moment but for future use as well.
Man, she's sweet. I got a 56 plymouth savoy also. Same color. You got any advice or websites for parts?
Fabulous....original Hy-Fire V8 mill and it's STILL kicking seventy years later....keep it there, dude!!!
Luscious Little Lamb '56!
How’s the car been bro haven’t seen u post I have a 56 4 door plaza
@@mannycarrazco3232 works been hella crazy the past year thank God. Haven’t had much time to wrench but it’s still running well. hopefully i can get some time off to make some more videos.
@ what’s your insta bro
Where’d you get the 360?
I need to no how cuz im doing the same thing
My buddy paul used to race dusters sd he recommended it
Wow, brings back a lot of memories. I bought my 1st car in 1965. A 55 Plymouth Belvedere 6 cylinder flathead with 3 on the tree ( column shift ). Paid $40 bucks for it lol! Now i have a 53 Plymouth Cranbrook coupe thats evolved into a drag and drive car over the last 20 years. Enjoy the Mopar ride man!
I remember all those times my father scolded me because I didn’t get the whitewalls cleaned up right when I washed his rigs.
❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉😢😢😢😢😢😢😮😮😮😅😅😅😅😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊.
The one thing I needed to see was the motor mount configuration. Anyone know which side is for which mount? they're both very different. thanks
the mounts i ordered on ebay didn’t come with markers on them. i installed them and when i dropped the motor in they were reversed so i pulled it back up and swapped them. took an extra 10 minutes but then dropped right in.
and mine were identical. The 225 were different. one small and one big.
@@DrivewayProjects Thank you, I'm still confused. The kit I got for the 8 cyl - has two different sides. The mounts to the block on each side are different and the frame pads are different too. One pad is thicker than the other. I'm trying to figure out which pad goes to which block mount and which mount goes on which side - I'm working alone and trying to get it on the first go. Heh, Heh.
I have the same car and engine. My engine rear seal is leaking. Do you know if it’s easy to replace the seal?
What transmission did you use?
727 transmission
Where do you store it over the years ?😊

A V8 auto on a ‘56 Plaza postie. What a find! I love Exner cars. I have a ‘61 Pioneer with a Slant and a 3-tree. Thanks for the great vid. Looks like some nice work has been done to this…subtle upgrades, but original for the most part.
You did that with a spray can!?😮 Toto!!🎵
Wow 😲! love 💕 this! but should have done this at night!!😮
I remember 64at one time at O C raceway
Slingshot dragsters are thundering works of art
♥️🍎🏎️💕
My folks bought a 56, took delivery on my 12th birthday. Had a flathead 6 whose cam bearings went out just barely out of warranty. Dealership refused to make it right so my dad, being depression era type, fixed it himself and promptly traded for a 57 Chevrolet 210 model, 283. I missed that Plymouth but it was on to learning auto mechanics from my dad. Fond memories working under the hood of the 56 with my dad. The 57 easily got 100K with me and dad keeping it running.
Now that’s a memory. You don’t see these cars much and i think there gorgeous looking cars. Thank God i haven’t had any problems yet. The 277 Polly has been great. Also 57 plymouths are a beaut of themselves.
@@DrivewayProjects I had some experience with a 55 that had your engine. Loaner car from the body shop my 1st car (a 62 Studebaker Golden Hawk) was in. I was 17, you can probably guess why it was in the shop. Anyway, that 55 would get rubber in 3rd gear.
🤟🏻💀
Great car! I have the same car! Great Grandfather bought it new. Where can I find parts? I've found some on ebay. Are there any other locations?
that’s cool! There great cars. Yeah it’s kinda hard finding parts. Ebay and cross reference from pre 62 318’s. A lot of 318 parts work. Also in northern california there’s a great mopar junk yard “Big M automotive” they have basically everything from older mopars even our cars. no website really, the owner is old school. worth a trip up there.
Cool video. I'm blown away you could use the same driveshaft... The 904 and 727 are different lengths.
It’s just temporary to move it around the driveway. It worked! but i’m having another shortened.
What happens to the duster man?
Been working on the 76 chevy truck lately but i’ll get something going soon. 🙏🏼
excellent
Did u change the K member?
No i did not. Still using the factory K member that came with the 225.
Back in the day before the kits, guys would change the K Frame for an 8 cylinder K but of course back then those were fairly common in the yards. Not so much now!! Good thing you're holding on to the /6 those are great engines.
More cowbell please😂
What time u guys got there?
right before 9am last year. line wasn’t long and went in pretty fast and parked up close.
@@DrivewayProjects ok cool.. going this year on Nov 4.
@@williamlopez4934 We’ll be there too 👍🏼great event!
Taking the grill and cross member off makes that job real easy
Thanks for the tip! I appreciate it. Thank God it went in easily with helping hands. I’ll consider that next time.
Is that a 727 or 904? What are your plans for the rear?
@@CarFacts81 it’s a 727 with a stock 7 1/4. I’m Keeping the 360 on the stock side with just a few upgrades so it’ll be okay.
@@DrivewayProjects great car! Enjoy your Duster.
"Mad Stacks"
bautiful 1957 plymouth fury!!!!❤❤❤❤
YO, ON THE SHOW "MARRIED WITH CHILDREN..." AL BUNDY CALLED HIS CAR "THE MIGHTY DODGE" - NOW, "STROKE & POKE" THAT 360 BLOCK TO 408c.i., DROP-IN A STROKER CRANK & KIT, & BUILD "THE MIGHTY MOPAR"!!!🤑
😂 Al Bundy loved his car more than his kids
The colour is awesome.
The reason that exhaust manifold isn’t fitting with the power steering is because that’s a passenger side manifold. Not only that but the casting number is 3418623 which makes it a 71-73 340 manifold. Kind of a pricey manifold to be grinding on.
This is correct. Manifold for the driver side should come up and over.
I watched this, hoping to learn some thing about what you did with the wires from the old regulator, and you breezed through it so quickly while mumbling that I couldn’t learn a thing. Meanwhile we got a master class in how to build brackets which is certainly not what I needed. Thanks for trying.
Pete should be SO STOKED!!! What a beautiful job!!!!
As an Italian once said “They say here I am, look at me, llllove me.”
Nothin’ wrong with a little healthy self-esteem. Besides, my girlfriend left me and so did my dog. There ain’t anybody left to love me anymore. 😢 #SadBoys 😂
5k
Sir i need white wall in 16 inch size available ?????
You can’t get them try white wall covers for your wheels it should look great
What motor mount kit did you use? I have a 73 Duster and I’m wanting to do the same swap
it was a 100$ ebay hedman hedders trans adapt kit. This was the listing “Set Conversion Motor Mounts 225 Slant 6 to Small Block 340 360 for Mopar A-Body”
I love how the "cleaning" magically changed the thickness of the whitwall, and fixed the dry rotting too! That is some powerful cleaner.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Stil have the cargo slide door?😄. Need one in holland
Slant 6 is way more reliable. I would have used the money to recondition the stant6
that’s the plan! I’m going rebuilt the slant and have it on the side. It’s definitely a cool looking engine with those long runners.
great to have a unique car, under appreciated Plymouth, great job!
I meant Plymouth belvedere
I actually have videos on all of them when I was growing up we had a 55 I guess it was a bel air station wagon we took that across the country and back on a camping trip and I was about 11 years old is almost the same color as the score how to white top
Sorry I meant a Belvedere station wagon
that’s awesome! they really are great cars and super underrated. I’m fortunate to have found one not molested. i always thought of searching for a junkyard 56 belvedere wagon. I wanted to chop the top off and turn mine into a one a one of a kind 2 door wagon. The Nomad version if plymouth had made one. Just an idea though. Growing up my grandparents had his and hers Nomads.
Your neighbors haven't called 911 on you yet ? Lol.
no not yet thankfully.
