I was a Trustee and Director of a National Veterans Charity, unpaid and I was eligible to claim expenses. Air travel, train travel, car travel, hotels etc... I never claimed a penny, I funded myself. I saw it as charitable gift. I lived on a War Disablement Pension. I was prvilidged, I was still alive, many of the Veteran members had died.... The French Revolution broke out on 14th July 1789 primarily because the winter had been very harsh and the wheat harvest in June had been very poor, as a result the people were hungry and angry that the elite, their masters, were living it up while they were starving. A similar situation exists in Britain today, not hunger, not starvation but anger, very deep anger that the masters are living it up while a very large portion of the population is in cire straits. It is unacceptable that those who, make the rules are earning 100s of thousands and the common people are experiencing hardship. I hope, just as in France in bygone days, a revolution breaks out, a soft non violent revolution but an uprising nevertheless.

It is important to acknowledge the compensation packages of executives in various organizations. For instance, Chris O'Shea, the CEO of British Gas, receives an annual salary of £8.2 million, along with a bonus of £1.4 million and a long-term bonus of £5.9 million. In comparison, the CEO of Thames Water has a base salary of £850,000 with an additional 12% pension contribution and a bonus of 156%, totalling £2.3 million. Additionally, the roles of Sue Gray or the Prime Minister come with significant challenges, especially considering the demanding nature of their positions and the scrutiny faced from the media. It is also worth noting that some journalists may also earn salaries that exceed those of the Prime Minister.

The Barclay family, former owners of the Daily Telegraph, have faced significant scrutiny regarding financial issues, including tax-related concerns. A financial "black hole" of £278 million has emerged, largely attributed to loans extracted by the family over the years. These loans, some exceeding £200 million, are unlikely to be repaid. Investigations by HMRC and the National Crime Agency have explored potential tax fraud linked to these financial irregularities.

Many years ago when Robin Day hosted question time with the likes of Kenneth Clark, edwina currie etc, somebody suggested that people from outside the London bubble could have a flat as a second home in a newly built large block of flats in close proximity to Parliament and would save millions. That idea was soon squashed. Politicians have had their snouts in the luxury troughs for decades so what's happening now is of no surprise to me

Schools NHS the corruption of the previous government... And all the BBC go on about with my licence fee I might add!! Is Angela Raynor having a holiday, starmer arsenal ticket ... And every other trivial thing apart from real issues... I will be researching the way to stop my licence and support for the BBC
