This was my first marathon. I turned 60 in January 2017 and had always wanted to run one. I am the person crawling up the stairs at 5:01 and collapsed at about 5:11. I finished the race in under the time limit, but for an old man it was tough. The organization by Marathon Tours here in the USA, and the people of China were FANTASTIC. This is a trip well worth doing, best of luck to all future runners on The Great Wall.

That's awesome, congratulations on finishing it. I've recently got mt golden ticket and hope to be there 2020. I'm a bit of heavy person, so I think the heat and how hard this marathorn is, could take its toll on me but i will push through it
Wow I'm impressed, in the minute 4:48 to 4:56 It's hard but beautiful at the same time and in the minute 5: 1 and 5:15 Wow the pain is repeated but in the end it is a beautiful satisfaction that will last a lifetime, beautiful video👍🏃🏻♀️🍏
I was planning on doing it and was in Shanghai at the beginning of May but couldn't stay around for it. Ill have to come back to do it as it looks amazing.

I am 39 and this is too scary for me to try. I hate long distance running even though I'm a sporty guy.
I love to do this. My fear isn't the run, its the getting to the run from flights and back without getting lost
