  • After spending a day cleaning up an area, we found an old, abandoned biomass bund, and decided to expand a lower rank. In this video we show some maintenance techniques, and explain how, even though contoured biomass bunds are semi-permanent, over time they can be easily adjusted or abandoned if they no longer fit in or serve a purpose.

    How far apart your contours are?

      It depends on the slope, the steeper the slope the closer together they can be (measuring horizontally). Generally between 10 meters and 30 meters apart, but I also stagger them, so the gaps are covered (this is sometimes called fish scaling).
