I saw him open for Willie back in April and he AND his son Lucas are amazing musicians... I would say if you ever have a chance of seeing him live DO IT.
You got to admire the restraint and feel (not to mention the skill) of that young kid. Obviously the influence of a great teacher - and you can see that on his old mans smile at about 2.15. Fantastic.
I didnt realize until tonight while watching RWh on Music fog on a song called "Mother Blue's" That that kid playing lead in this song and on a lot of his newer albums is his son. Thats awesome to me. That kid can pick some shit!!
Hey, he's playing "my" guitar! That's a Gibson Woody Guthrie SJ (the belly-down bridge is the give away). I just bought one last week. Looked all over for sound samples, but just now saw this. Anyway, it sounds and plays great!
This is on the new RWH album: A. Enlightenment B. Endarkenment (Hint: There is no C). Lucas, RWH's son, plays lead on two songs on the new album, and more than holds his own.
good stuff wiley i mean ray Wylie....shit im confused ...maybe we had the same pappy *Bong-Hit...exhales.......loving this song loving life.............

That ain’t no shit , cause my ass can’t make it out to Texas but if he came within 100 miles I’d be there
Just so cool, Lucas is about 13/14 yrs on this video old playing with his Dad. Can't be much cooler than that,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Ray's a national treasure.
I always go catch Ray when I'm in Texas. I was at this show and it was awesome. His on-stage interaction with Lucas is really sweet. :)
