This ball head mounts on any 3/8" bolt/tripod, and has an arca compatible 1/4-20" screw mounting quick release plate. It includes a built in bubble level, and the base has 360 degree angle markings with a lock on the rotation.
The ball lock only requires 160 degrees of motion to go from completely locked to very easy to move, but you can pull and rotate the handle if you want to rotate it more to make it super easy to move or locked extremely well in place.
It says it's rated for 22lbs / 10kg. The largest package I tested it with was only 7 lbs, but it held that with absolutely no problems. The motion was very smooth, the rotating QR lock/unlock function works easily and is very secure when locked. Very nice fit and finish, high quality materials.
My only complaint is the price. I realize high quality camera equipment is expensive, but this feels just a little too expensive for me.
