After years of owning $300 printers that did things I did not need, this does all I need and comes with an ink package. It is too good to be true but it is. I installed it on my phone and succeeded ( I am an old person) so I am not only proud of myself but super happy with this purchase. It is inexpensive, easy to install and use and has a reputable name

The power off button if we press the power doesn't off immediately. power light is on it does not get off.
Only we have to remove the plug. Whether it will take time to power off button IS pressed.

DON'T BUY THIS PRINTER! PIXMA 4700 SERIES. WOULD NOT WORK-RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX, BRAND NEW! WOULD NOT READ IT'S OWN NEW INK CARTRIDGES.
I agree about the cartridges. At least the black one was useless. But I ordered a new one that came really quickly and it worked perfectly. That was the only negative I had.

Si il formato di carta nelle impostazioni è corretto ,se metto il foglio sulla lastra di vetro funziona correttamente,E' dal vassoio superiore che non fa copie!Comunque grazie per la risposta

When I do what the video says, I get the error light coming on. This happens if I do or don’t press the print icon.
It prints off of the Internet just fine.

Thank you for this. It's very easy to understand. I'm wondering if you have one on how to enlarge? I know to go to Menu then arrow to the right to the enlarge menu. What I can't figure out is, once I set which enlargement I want, what do I press next? I've tried hitting the "Black" button but nothing happens so then I tried hitting OK instead and that takes me into another menu starting with "Copy Intensity". If you could tell me how to get the actual paper out, I would appreciate it!
I'll do a video. In the canon tr4550 you have to use the left and right arrows

@@viandant5 thanks for that but, unfortunately, it doesn’t work. It just takes me to “Copy Intensity”. I’ve been messing around with it, and finally discovered that, if I then press “Okay” about 8 more times, I eventually get to it just saying “Copy” on the display. At that point, if I press “Black”, it does print. but it really seems like it isn’t the right way to do it.

My problem is that my printer takes 5 minutes to print one page. It's not always done this. What's changed? Help!
Try to lower the print quality in the settings, update the printer driver, is it in wi-fi? Check the connection.

Mine doesnt give me the option to do double sided on “special copy” it just gives me frame erase copy, border less copy, 2 on 1 copy, and 4 on 1 copy. Any advice ?

I have changed my wifi connection in my home from ADSL to fiber optics. Since then, i am unable to print anything on my canon pixma printer because it was set up with the Adsl connection. Any idea how to fix this please?

OKay found a solution : I reset the printers settings from LCD, make sure to select "all "when asked which settings you want to be reset. My printer was new but I'd already messed with different settings before noticing the ADF did not work (never worked since printer was new). Then try again making a copy from ADF, if it works, cool, now change the rest of the settings as you wish but make sure those new settings you make does not turn the ADF feeding process off at some point. My region was set in Europe, language was changed too (not english), before I noticed ADF wasn't working, maybe it had something to do with the issue, for example.

I'm trying to make a copy of a graphic and enlarging it by 200% but the copy comes out with the graphic completely bleeding off the edge. Is there a trick to keep the graphic centered as my original has the graphic totally dead center? Thanks
You can scan the graphic 100% normally, paste it on a word file then modify it as you want
@@viandant5 Thanks so much for your reply! I actually figured it out one way. It turned out that if the original graphic that needs to be enlarged is centered on the page the enlargement copy will move the graphic away from the center and outside the page depending on how big the enlargement is. So instead of centering the graphic I placed the graphic on the top left corner of the page and the enlargement copy came out OK with the graphic still visible within the page. Of course if my enlargement was very big like 400% the enlargement might bleed off the page partially so it really depends on the original size of your graphic and how big the enlargement is, but placing the graphic in the top left corner seemed to have solved my problem. Thanks again.

Yes, insert the sheet in the ADF, it will automatically detected or select Feeder in the PC window

Are you sure that the setting are correct, the driver is correctly installed?
@@viandant5 hello, the problem many of us seem to have happens from the printer side, not the computer side, so the issue has nothing to do with drivers issues, it's just that the printer does not offer the option to use the ADF when scanning, it just says on the LCD "put paper on platen" or something like, while the printer made a detection sound when placing the paper in the ADF, but still, won't offer ADF copying option. Hope it's clearer for you now

Is there any difference between photocopy machine copies and printer copies?
Yes, the first one is often analogic, the second is digital. The first often costs more but has a lower cost per page

Hi, is there any setting to enable the ADF for copy mode? I inserted my paper in and there is a beep sound to acknowledge the insertion. However, when I press the black copy button, the printer just prompts to insert a paper into the platen. If I just press ok, the copy will fail. What's wrong? Is it defective?
I think you have to select ADF in the printer menu

Buongiorno.Le ho già scritto giorni fa,con la mia canon 4050 nuova non riesco a far copie analogiche,se metto ilfoglio nel vassoio superiore e pigio avvia copia non succede niente..non si muove niente!Mi da sempre lo stesso errore 3412 e l'avviso scansione non effettuata!Però se faccio la scansione da cell o pc il foglio lo prende dal vassoio adf superiore ed effettua la scansione!Non so che problema possa avere!!!Per il resto funziona tutto perfettamente!Copia e stampa dalla lastra di vetro!Forse meglio rimandarla indietro data che è in garanzia!
