I am no expert , I used to ride MX back in the nineties , but Troy seems like he is a decent rider from the footage I saw . Firstly I would say he has to be really enjoying his riding and racing as for the hand cramps I tried various things for fitness , running ,swimming ,weights but the best thing I found was cycling , It makes you breathe and gets oxygen into your lungs .

The finger cramp is so relatable! It’s what I imagine severe arthritis feels like. I’ve been through more bars grips and levers then I’ve had hot dinner even torque specs etc.. I was heavy into the gym when I got back into motocross and i could barely do a session on the bike, not so much bodybuilding now days and it’s gone.

Add to this my forearm wasn’t pumped like the usual arm pump it was straight to my fingers

Brilliant content, he is riding really well, what about changing handle bars? Renthal twinwalls have a different bend that may help.

I get hand cramps aswell sometimes, usually in the last moto. It’s definitely not connect to arm pump from my experiences. For me it will ease off after a few mins I have to try open close hands on bikes too loosen it off, maybe a decent warm up routine for hands would help.

Awesome content. Surprised YT isn't promoting this a tad more. On the arm pump situation - Foot position seems to be an area of improvement. Check the clips. His feet are pointing out and he is not riding on the balls of his feet. Makes it close to impossible to grab the bike with his legs to free up the arms. AJ Catanzaro's tutorials are great for this. Elbows are looking great in corners. The inside foot is a bit lazy sometimes. Awesome riding and great seeing you have fun with everything.

Gonna watch some more uploads, i used to race, made it to the ACU nationals Kx100s, gave up in 92-93 and had to totally ignore the sport as i couldnt watch as it hurts watching and being too poor to play, wrong decision made in 92-93.........

Cramping hands-fingers or toes for that matter could be a hydration issue.

The diameter of the grips can affect hand strength. Too wide less's grip strength in hand, to narrow can cause cramping. Also wearing brand new gloves can also affect grip.
