Хвала ти, Новаче.
thank you!
hvala legendo
Oh my God, Mr Medicine is a banger. Need to get stoned now
As a 689 year old man, I haven't been this excited for a young group since Guillaume de Machaut released his hit ensemble "Messe de Nostre Dame" in the summer of 1326!
Haha I remember Guillaume's release party, what a messe!
Remember that time William of Rockham and Roger Bacon
collaborated on the spoken word at poetry night at the Bards
Legion of 1432AD?
😂
It's real, that's all we got left.
@@chrisholder4978 boy do I! It's what inspired the Spanish to start exploring the possibility of land yet to be discovered.
The sound engineer of KEXP is incredible. Give this man a raise!!!
I swear to god these guys are the best in the business
Bridge City is really good also, but I think you're right. KEXP is the best.
4 real. Absolutely anything that I hear from their channel is clear AF no matter the genre
Right! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻😎
Like an F-ing studio.
a moment of peace for the sound engineer who made this sound better than most studio albums....
For real. The sound man that made this band sound like something worth giving a fair listen to despite their name
Mums are pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs . Rock musicians? Why dear I hope not , that would be so dull? It's more like getting hir in your face by 50,000 volts ,sleep tight
Kexp does that with all the bands they have on
@@stevephillips1842Yupp. Always blown away by their sound
@@sawdust34ACAB
Wish I could book these guys for my funeral.
Everything has its price 💸
Hahaha!!
I bet if you ask them they might be in;) take your time to not die too fast tho bre
Holy shit. I can't stop laughing. The fvcking comments for these guys are just off the lot.
...AND NOW YOU CAN!!!
I've never heard of them, but I knew exactly what I was getting when the stacks of Orange amps presented themselves.
You see Matamp, Sunn or Orange and you immediately know what’s going down
I know nothing- what's up with the orange amps. I saw em at another metal show one time
@@srednaxelawerd the amp brands listed by chilimacaroni above are all staples of stoner and doom metal. They're the foundation for that fat, bone crushing tone.
all those orange boxes and two barefoot guys in shorts… you know you’re in for a ride
@@ec8107 Don't want to sound like party pooper, but that cult around amp brands is largely pointless. For a doom metal tone, literally any sufficiently loud amp and a fuzz will do. They do sound amazing though, just massively overpriced...
The sound guy for this radio station is legendary
The rollins band is back 😂😂
I am 3 days old and I just discovered this band and am blown away. It’s the very first song I’ve ever heard.
I respect how Matthew Baty approaches the role of vocalist as a ceremonial athletic endeavor
Yeah, he gives off strong Rock 'n Front Roll vibes!
Complete with awesome Muay Thai shorts!!!
And how he dresses for it
If you're of a certain age in the UK, then you know who the legendary John Peel is. Throughout his 3 decade stint on BBC radio, there were many John Peel sessions in which independent acts of all flavours would record a set in the Maida Vale studio for the show. In many respects KEXP have become the world wide, modern successor on these well loved sessions. Fantastic stuff.
Totally agree ❤
Absolutely right! It's where I heard Idles and Shame for the first time. This band would have been perfect for a John Peel session.
@@tonyorourke2142 idles saved my life AF Gang forever. My Ex gf threw a pint of piss at me at the Fontaine's DVD concert but the AF gang saved my life and mental health.
Aye, this show is possibly the most worthy successor to Peel's legacy in terms of the eclectic selection of artists showcased for listeners to discover and expand their musical horizons/mind, the sheer depth of evidently unwavering authentic passon behind it, the expert mixing of the live sessions by talented engineers, and the lovely down-to-earth no-nonsense atmosphere of it all - Peel was a legend with a winning combination of elements that never got stale, and certain KEXP sessions feel as vital and momentous as so many Peel sessions did; some of the greatest not-completely-mainsream artists in history have Peel sessions on record that are among the best work they ever put out, and KEXP could easily do that too.
I feel like the majority of UK broadcasters let our music scenes down badly, no one really funds & runs anything as good and comprehensive as this anymore for emerging bands since Peel's era - KEXP have loads of groups on from all over these isles, yes, but being based in America they don't tend to get the REALLY early growths of things from the underground here like Peel famously used to, so I wish we had a true counterpart to this in Britain & Ireland. There's so much stuff put out now, to have a focused & engaging spotlight on the most interesting and exciting cream of what's out there amongst the dross that dominates seems like a very important thing we're missing. At least the likes of these beautiful people are still carrying the torch somewhat
@@superkilometricoboom bbc 6 music is a great way to hear of new artists they also used to have live bands on daily but its less nowadays. I first heard of Pigspigspigspigspigspigspigs there a few years ago.
bare feet? New Balance? burgundy tracksuit? giant Orange stacks?
bro this shit's gonna' be good
Yeah, good and terrible...
My guy with the cream-colored SG looking like Eric Bartlett of Ram Jam with a splash of Cream-era Clapton
Drummer is wearing a Cocteau Twins T-shirt 🤣
@@clintwilson6380 Just like your selfie profile pic my boy.
@clintwilson6380 Yeah, this is pretty bad bad bad bad bad bad bad.
I just love how this sounds so familiar but at the same time totally fresh and new.
Exactly what I thought!
Hints of 1992 Pearl Jam..
Queens of Stone age
Some Sabbath, Rollins, and even a little KARP in there. They are pretty great.
1990s Melvins
That has to be in the KEXP Hall of Fame 🤯
Right along with the 3 performances by ATW
They are phenomenal. Incendiary and like ear pornography. Love them 💙✌️🗽🏴☠️
Never heard of this band before and instantly love them. I love surprises like this. Thanks KEXP.
Fell in love on the first note😂❤. Just like wow and so unapologetically beautiful.
Same thing happened to me with “ All them witches” the first time they were on this channel 6 years ago. I have found so many independent bands from this channel.
Sounds like Clutch?
Este bailarino se enforcando na corda do mic tem um vocal do inferno! Uma cozinha matadora, com as guitarras por cima de td como um rolo compressor! Maravilhoso! 😂👏
@@te9591 True!
Came for the Stone Cold tank top, stayed for the killer licks. These guys know what they're doing. Vocalist is incredible.
Ohhhh Hell Yeahhh!!! 🍻🍻🍻
Lol those facial expressions
I totally agree. Great band. They come out guns blazing.
Honestly I came for the fact I thought it was Rob Schneider in the thumbnail and I’m so glad my curiosity won out. And realizing I need to get my eyes checked
Oh yeah, he’s insanely good.
How good is this though? I keep coming back to it.
HOLY SHIT! IT WASN'T A DREAM? THIS IS REAL? THE ROCK GODS HAVE SAVED US!
When you see someone playing their guitar that high, you know someone is about to get hurt.
Ever heard of animals as leaders? Hahah
Baked to hurt
it makes it SO much easier to play instead of having it slung down by your belly button ya know?
>> That high
…and that’s about a guitar player😂
Hurt by nerdism maybe.
Never heard this band before, but less than 60 seconds into the first song, I decided that Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs is one of my new favourite bands! Somehow I could tell it was going to be kick ass when the singer was jumping barefoot up & down getting pumped & ready to go. The shoeless bass player also gave me a hint of this, haha. Massive thanks as always KEXP!!! Greetings from Barcelona
psft i knew he was cool back at the finger wag 0:24 lmao
@@wrngsurgeon True that, haha 🤣
Haha for sure I saw homie jumping around limbering up and I was like " yeah LET'S F*CKIN GOOOOOOOO!!!!"
I knew they were cool years ago , if covid hadn’t been a thing they would not be doing the 3 year catch-up.
Loving this vid ( I’ve watched this channel for years ) and to see my hometown friends band playing here is very special to me.
Pleased the USA are hearing them now 👍👍
@@markjames1908 yeah even their name..i find myself getting more angry with each "pigs" lol
I love how the drummer is their dad.
...and the one guy on guitar is Bill S. Preston Esq. of Wyld Stallyns.
Oh my God that made me laugh
Where has this band been all my life? They are outrageously good. Brilliant. 💙✌️🗽🏴☠️
These guys are good! It’s like if a hardcore band got stuck in the bush for a whole summer with nothing to eat but weed brownies and acid... you’d get this sound. 🤟
I will not tolerate no other answer or comparison than this one right here, lads. Right on.
Fashion statement for sho.
Great description.
This basically that post-hardcore sound that late-stage black flag and others were doing 40years ago only these guys do it better than most, but yeah that is an apt description of their sound.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
This band is so tight! Like, literally slap this recording on a CD, wrap it in plastic, and call it an album. Jesus lord almighty!
Black Sabbath already did that 40+ years ago
foofango- Amen brother!!! I don’t want to get off the floor.
They are so loose and so tight at the same time. Its fantastic. The beat swings, but they swing as one mind.
They did just that but it's pressed on wax for RSD 2024
@@aussiemoe9426you are the most annoying kind of music fan.
This is crazy good.
Black Sabbath and early Clutch. That's what I hear and love it.
Same here, it's awesome. Clutch's 2nd album is a masterpiece.
I think that's the amps (the clutch / bakerton group sound). I heard it too. Space guitars. These guys rocked it in their own right, total rock and roll show. Will buy some of their stuff.
Same here
it's hard to make stoner/fuzz/doom stuff sound fresh, but these guys kind of did it
For real it sounds Heavy ASF but with a lot of vibe
I was trying to put my finger on the combo..... im not halfway.... ill go sleep, butthole surfers, and idles....?
That producer guitarist guy has really made the live sound of this performance a perfect mix. That's what you want in a band, a guy like that!
Sounds like Clutch.
@@te9591 yep with a touch of Torche.
The energy in this is exactly what the world needs more of, absolutely demolished this set 🔥🔥
Well said.
The Big Rig riff scratches so many itches. Magical stuff
I'm just stumbling across this and man what an inspiration!! Just what I needed!
There are some KEXP that we weren't waiting for or even expecting, but that we deeply needed.
THANK YOU ! I love this band so much, so happy to see them here.
God, what an IMMENSE sound.
You cant teach Rock and Roll , but this is it . awesome band
Glad to see someone is keeping rock & roll alive.
New to these bastards, holy hell. Amazing stuff, thank you KEXP for keeping us old bastards up to date on new music. Jordie stoner rock ❤
It's like these guys are performing at the absolute limits of their abilities and they are all holding on for dear life. Love it. I bet a live show would be fun.
Oh, it is!!
Yeah - saw them a few weeks ago in York. Small venue, loud and sweaty. Great night - even my wife who is not really into anything heavy got well into them. Hopefully I can start taking her to increasingly heavy stuff - Pigs could be a gateway band - you never know…
@@joegreen7930 that was a quality night. Great venue too.
Saw them last night in Bristol, UK. They blew me away!
By limits, do you mean the bored looking drummer doing 1/3 of what he's probably capable of and the riffs that a beginning guitar player could play? I think if the singer wore shorter shorts and did a backflip while clutching his balls it would be closer to absolute.
Fuzz level: YES
The Stooges style! 🔥🤘🏼🔥
WOW!!!!! I've never heard these guys until now and I'm SOOO happy I decided to check them out! KEXP never let's me down! I'm going to find their records and play the crap out of them! Thank you KEXP!!!
The energy in the room is unreal
I really wish kexp would give us these live performances on vinyl. This, osees, squid, idles do many id buy right now
👌👌👌💯💯💯
If you haven't seen yet, this was released on vinyl for RSD last week. Sounds awesome!!! Check out Discogs, plenty of copies available 🤘
The sound is ridiculously AWESOME! This engineer and band are KILLING IT!
We all newly converted fans of this sublime badassery agree that this sessions need to be released as an Album/EP. Amazing energy and excellent audio engineering. Greetings from Mexico!
FUCK YEAH KEXP!!! Introduced me to a new band that absolutely rips. Great performance, excited to dig deeper on this band. Unreal sound mixing/videography as usual. Thanks for all you do behind the scenes! xoxo
Came for the name, stay for the riffs, dope band!
They sold me before I even heard a note
I found this 2 months ago and have had to come back almost daily...this f*ckn jams!🤘🤘🤘
New fan here, never a bad day to discover a new band.
The mix on this is outstanding like Wtf
💯
KEXP somehow manages to mix and record these live performances better than 90% of studio albums. It’s unreal how great they do… they also got amazing bands like pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs (and Los Cogelones from last week… outrageous good)
KEXP sound engineers never disappoint!
Yes, it’s always insane sounding coming from there. Never been disappointed.
Actually I think that the mix was done by the guitar player, Sam Grant !🔥
Digging the gremlin walk of the dude ripping it up in the back
First time hearing these guys. Incredible!
Perfect! This feeling when you discovered your new favorite band.
This is amazing man reminds me off finding about idles and how it grew these guys got that old idles feel
Oh man The Idles are amazing, I found them through Tiny Desk Concert and I was immediately hooked. These guys give off the same energy.
If you guys like idles and these guys check out Swans, I feel like they were the ones that really drove this type of sound.
@@holoXheart yeah I was thinking of clutch and swans and sleep were big influences, but idles too now come to think of it.
@@MrGrimmReaper8 Same for me, rhat Tiny Desk mini gig is amazing, that got me into them too. They were my first thought when I heard this band in this video.
Idles ain't got shit on Pigs son
Who knew Rob Schneider could rock and aged so well ? What a performance !!
Thanks Pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs and Kexp
🤣
The production on this recording is unbelievable! The techs, engineers are top notch. Like Sabbath, Tool & Clutch are the older brothers who paved the way
Yeah i can see the sabbath and mid 90s clutch for sure
Eyehategod.
I'm hearing some circa 1992 Rollins Band in there as well.
Holy shit. There are cherished moments in my life that I remember when KEXP introduced me to bands that became lifelong favorites…this is one of those moments🔪🤘🪦
I know what you mean, these guys just joined my list next to Aurora and Idles and Warpaint and Los Bitchos, that's a lot of sonic bliss I can lay directly on KEXP. Who else does that?
Such a great feeling isn’t it? Like a gift.
well said!
I appreciate that KEXP is willing to bring on an awesome, lesser-known stoner metal band. Had never heard of these guys before. Great set. Will def check out more Pigs Pigs Pigs...
Bro, I trained kickboxing with the singer for 18 months before I knew he was in such a fucking phenomenal band. He's a really nice kid
Heavy AF. SO sick. The amount of energy these guys put out is insane!
I mean honestly I’ve never heard of them but I’m fully floored. I’m fully impressed and I’m already looking for their music. I haven’t seen a performance this good in a while. ♥️
I wish I would have heard this before today. They are about to play in my city and I want to go now. And I can't. 😢
This band definitely doesn’t disappoint, thank you all might algorithm for sending them my way.
Well, that kicked ass! Never heard of them...until now! Thanks KEXP for the introduction...as always :)
Just got the vinyl release of this not an hour ago. It sounds awesome.
This is my first exposure to the band and they are amazing. I’ve come to find that I like this version better than the album version.
i can always count on kexp to turn me on to new stuff when i'm in a musical rutt. THANK YOU!
WOW....Just WOW! Great Band. First time hearing of them, loved every second of it. I knew today was gonna be a good day.
I just seen this today and yes..wow indeed!! A new stoner/doom to add to my new favorites!
Never heard of these guys, but they just knocked out a legendary performance. Trying to get down to their Brooklyn show
Came for the Shorts and I stay behind as a fan. Thx KEXP
I love that this dude is jumping around barefoot with muay thai shorts and a stone cold shirt. He must do kickboxing. First time hearing these guys, they're pretty freaking awesome. Definitely would like to see them live
I saw those Fairtex shorts!
Kickboxing shorts and stone cold shirt match made in heaven
Matt Baty DOES do kickboxing!!
My thoughts exactly!
Listened for only 2 mins here before buying tickets to see them in Bristol LOL
The North Easts finest! What a band! They deserve all the success!
Incredible!
Bloody amazing band and last Year we were at a gig at The Cluny in Newcastle and walked past Blank studios when the Pigs were rehearsing and it sounded epic 🤘I’m proud to be just from up the road in Morpeth. See you fellas in the Tyne bar for a pint sometime hopefully 🍺
Oh yeah!... Wasn't expecting anything and after this amazing performance I went straight to spotify to lock-in these guys in my favourites... Hopefully I can see them live soon.
I did the same and shred it with all my friends
Found those guys thanks to the RUclips algorithm and it was a love from first ear...OMG these guys are amazing! Love for them, love for the sound engineer in the studio, love from Bulgaria!
Bass is a hero.
one of the hardest sets ever featured on this channel, which is saying something with king gizz, oh sees and ty segall on the channel too!
Can't forget Slift on that list. They played one of my favourite performances on KEXP
@@carterwickson6961 or Hot Snakes
Gave me shivers... This could handsomely fill a Rollins Band shaped hole in my life.
Good call.
Pretty incredible, sign me up! 🤘
Damn, props to the sound person, I can hear EVERYTHING. Y’all should sell this session
Amazing Band, loved them since the first time they played the Parish in Huddersfield UK. Such a wonderful warm group of people.
Never heard of them, love the energy! Awesome stuff
I’ve been about this band for a minute. Now, for a lifetime.
EXCELLENT!!! THANK YOU!!!
You know you’re in for a treat when at least one person is sweating in the KEXP Studio.
I knew this would be good when the lead singer is wearing a Stone Cold shirt, starts jumping up and down to get loose, and is wearing what appear to be muay thai fighting shorts. It did not disappoint.
"what a time to be alive"
Wow that’s better …… my head needed this band, respect
Wow- just got straight bushwhacked by these guys. Another awesome band discovered here on KEXP YT. Mahalo!
This band is totally insane..I love them
...so...well...holy fuck...to ALL parties involved...thank you...
Well said.
This just made the residue of weed in my lungs smoke it's self.
Yeah, covering super heavy music!!! Well done KEXP!
Was expecting something interesting just from the name and got my face melted as a bonus. KEXP youre the best
Hilarious hipsters with negative comments. Move along. This was amazing!
I was looking for these negative comments you mentioned, but all I found was praise? Can't tell if your just stirring up shit or what, but anyone who doesn't get down to the pigs is an obvious idiot, not even worth mentioning
Great stuff! Very impressed, especially as they're British.
Saw them several times in Bristol. They are amazing live.
I'm definitely keeping my eye open for their return.
That is on 29th September, just got my tickets 😊

Love this!
Their name brought me in, their sound kept me inside!!
I'm cynical so I saw the look of these guys and thought "they look like an Idles rip off, crazy rock dudes". But the sound of the guitars/bass, the vocals, this is great music. Hope their studio keeps pumping out this stuff for a long time to come. The sound engineer needs a raise, this sounds huge.
