Just picked up/built this bed today. I gotta say your method of assembling this bed was way more efficient, thought out, and made this whole process easier. I had my girlfriend help me out by sorting out all the screws and helping me place the metal frame on the gas pistons that raise the bed. I was working in a very small room so It was VERY helpful to assemble the metal frame first prior to assembling the bed frame itself. Having a drill also helped a lot. Thank you for this video!
I replaced our double bed with a trampoline today... I absolutely loved it...but the wife went through the roof...
suoer helpful, I threw the confusing 'instruction manual' away and just followed the steps on this vid. I'm pretty sure Ikea's trolling us with their overly complicated 'instructions'. Thanks again
i built this by the instruction book and i had to ask my neighbour to help me hold it up while i screwed in the black thing in the lift up mechanism

How big is the bed
I just assembled the same bed and i have followed the instructions really well but the bed doesn't close...i have released a bit the screws and add the mattress but wont close, can someone help???

Thank you...it may have taken us 5 1/2 hours but we got it put together without any major arguments thanks to your video showing us how to do what the instruction booklet tried to show us.

Really helpful, cheers! Your way of doing things is better than the "official" Ikea instructions... for example, making the mattress frame first is so much better if you have to work in a confined space. btw Ikea have released a "new version" of this bed, but the only real change is that the lifting arm is ready assembled so you don't have to piece it together yourself.

Great video, I have a problem should the holes and fixings match on both sides for the arms I have the male fixing in different holes on both sides, I think this is a error ?
