Great idea Gayle...!! And I love the use of the gold glitter clay!! Just awesome!! I wanted to say thank you so much for your tutorials - the expense (I too am retired and live in a fixed income while also raising 3 of my youngest grandsons!!), your creativity and talent, your time filming & editing and your soothing and inspiring voice!! Not to mention your ‘down-home’ southern hospitality that your share with us like we are best friends. You’re special Gayle and so are your tutorials...!! So thank you for ALL the inspiration, tips, tricks, and know-how!! Just wonderful...God Bless you my friend💖🙏
If your base clay is conditioned and sticky enough, it shouldn't be a problem. But if it is, you can always dust your mold with corn starch. The only problem with that is keeping the clay in the mold while you are 'shaving' it.
Those are beautiful, Gayle. My mom would have loved the black and gold as earrings. I don't think I'll be trying this technique. I'm way too clumsy. LOL!
