      Hi thanks for asking, no, it's really an agitator not for pushing/pumping water from A to B. You need a two channel, the cold water must come from the loft tank, the HW from a separate connection from the top of the cylinder. All pump firms will have lots of helpful advice. take care George Staszak 👍😃

    Hello! Can anyone help me with my issue? Namely, from some reason, heating is not working, and I tried to check the pump, by unscrewing the cap as in this video (to try to start it manually by screwing the inside screw), but when I removed the cap on the pump, water started to come out in the stream. I closed it quickly, as pressure started to go down. Is it normal thing? Do I need to ignore the water stream and to try quickly to unscrew the screw inside the pump to check if it is jammed?

    • @mrcombiBedford
      @mrcombiBedford  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Milan, thanks for asking, as the video shows that screw is only for venting, not for spinning the propeller. There are many reasons why the heating is OFF, programer / room stat fault, stuck in HW mode, pump Ohms test, best call a factory training engineer, regards George 🤩👍

    Got an old standard Grundfos. Changed 6 radiators and flushed system. After about an hour of heating, the boiler cuts heating and the pump speeds up, creating a bit of a humming noise. Is this the boiler overheating? The thermostat doesn't indicate we are up to room temperature yet and radiators still hot (TRVs set to 18, as is the stat). Pump is quite hot to touch. Boiler temp is set to 55-60. Anything I can do to avoid it cutting out, e.g. pump speed, or do I need a new pump? Boiler is worcester/B and 4 years old (not a combi)

    • @mrcombiBedford
      @mrcombiBedford  10 месяцев назад

      Dear Matt, thanks for asking, please follow the link at the end for more advice, ignore the training I have retired. The not so old 15-50/60 should be OK you did't say 50 or 60, 50 will be good enough, 60 would be noisy and hot, that always helps me. 6 rads you should have a mid position diverter as you have less than 13KW of rads. That and ALL systems need an AUTO by pass to dissipate "pump over run" which is your fault. Also I bet the refill was not F2 which is a requirement. Please use this link and see others about AUTO by pass. Hope that helps. ruclips.net/video/sDSQSKOixow/видео.html

    Hello, what causes that buzz humming electrical noise, on a combi boiler.

    • @mrcombiBedford
      @mrcombiBedford  Год назад

      Hi Eddie, humming is normally a motor not spinning as it should due to worn or not lubricated bearings. These new multi speed pumps and fans are most prone. Sometimes a PCB can send wrong volts also volts on Natural will cause this.
      A simple test is a very long screwdriver put the handle end in the ear then CAREFULLY place the other pointed end on all parts that move, the loudest is often faulty replace with the latest version.
      Thanks for asking, George Staszak

    Hi, last week my boiler lost pressure and then made trickling water sounds. I new it didn’t sound right so I turned it off and called plumber. No lockout light on. He serviced boiler and ordered a replacement for the red tank on the right (Worcester boiler heat slave 26 32) he said that was full of water and should be full of air. So he came back and fitted red tank. Yesterday I put the hot water on for washing up as I had more than normal (usually boil a kettle for washing up) I had hot water. Today I notice the pressure had gone right back down to zero! Do you know what the problem could be? I have just turned valves to replace pressure and have hot water on now. Turn tap on boiler fires up and after 30/40 seconds I get hot water though the flow decreased so I turned the tap more. I ask as my husband passed a few months ago so looking for a second opinion as not wanting to go and replace more parts unnecessarily. Thank you in advance for your reply.

    • @mrcombiBedford
      @mrcombiBedford  Год назад +1

      Dear Irene, thanks for asking, I have found your boiler as an oil 32KW (big system) about 2005? could be well past its date. 1st the cold fill and the 12ltr red vessel should both be 1.4bar and rise to a max. 1.6 bar, I bet it goes higher thus an external 18ltr should be fitted also at 1.4bar. It's a pity the plumber did not empty and test the diaphragm. Page 18 of the install book recommends TRVs everywhere with an auto byBass, is that so? Check if the new one is 12ltrs Because you have a small mid position valve the pressure will rise a lot. Refill to 1.4 bar and switch the CH on for 15 mins, does it go above 1.6bar? If yes fit as above. A new digital pump would help.👍 Hope that helps, George staszak

      Hi Nikola, Pumps and heating systems must NOT be tested in HW mode only in Heating, because it tests the diverter valve has moved and many boilers do not use the pump in HW. If the heating is OK then the FLOW pipe gets hotter, if not either call a breakdown engineer or factory Tech. Dept. All the best, George Staszak 👍
