You do great job on your videos, especially for regular folks who want to start making sushi at home with store bought fish and ingredients. Simple, easy to follow, and best of all, tasty! Keep up the good work, and I'm having a homemade Sushi Superbowl this year!
Great to finally "meet" you! I've really enjoyed your videos. Keep up the great work. More importantly, I've learned a ton and have so much more confidence when I want to make some sushi. I wish you good luck and look forward to hearing more about your upcoming course. And of course, have a Happy New Year!
Sushi man ,ive been watching ur videos how to roll and the technic bro,i applied for a sushi restaurant yesterday im starting today at 1pm and im so confident and they accepted me bcz im a pilipino thank you for ur guides❤
I just recently quit my job as a sushi chef that I really loved (boss was being unruly, my boss taught me how to cut fish and if I needed help I'd have to figure it out on my own.) I always used your videos on things that I needed help with. Specifically cutting fish for nigiri or sashimi and of course the Avocado for the dragon roll LOL. If anyone reads this and you're thinking about either getting a sushi job or just making sushi at home. You can do it! Jun The Sushi Man he is by far the best resource out there. Just have self confidence in yourself, go slow, take your time and most importantly. HAVE FUN!
I poured an ounce of my better booze to toast the end of this nice video, greetings from Ft Collins and looking forward to seeing what you do, a Happy New Year to you 🙂
What a fantastic video. I only just recently discovered your channel but I love your content, knowledge and overall vibe. Wish you the best of luck and congrats on your journey so far!
Nice to meet you Sushi Man! I started making sushi with your videos last year. For new year’s dinner, I will have my friends at my home for a sushi party. Thanks and happy new year. Smiles from Istanbul, Turkey. 🎈
I have to thank you so much. 11 years ago, I went to a sushi restaurant. I tried and the taste was awful. 2 weeks ago, I decided to make sushi home, just to learn doing sushi and to use some remaining sheets of nori.. I found your ytb channel and made 3 types of Sushi, selected by your videos. It was delicious, and tasteful. I loved eating sushi. Of course, I won't go to a sushi restaurant anymore, but when I would like to eat sushi, I will open your ytb channel and make it by myself. Thanks a lot sushi man❤
Truly have loved learning and growing my sushi making skills through your book, your videos, and your informative email blasts! I am very excited about your online course, I am impatiently waiting! 😉
Love your channel and follow you since your first video. Keep going man, i wish you all the best with your new projects! May i suggest some video ideas: Since you created alot of videos regarding different rolls and fish i would love to see a rice vinegar guide. There are many options and i often wanted to try out different ones, so a video about the most important things to look out for would help alot. ❤️ Same goes for the sushi rice. There are many different sushi rice varieties and a insight about different manufacturers and types of rice would be neat too. I hope you will have an amazing start into the new year 😄
You are so cool and awesome, I love your videos , today i was trying to make a decent sushi at home , glad I found your Chanel… thank you so much for sharing your talent and recipes.. may god bless you and more subscribers and supporters to come .
Love your channel! I discovered it about a month ago and it's cool to put a face to my sushi mentor. Thanks for sharing your talents with us! Looking forward to the next phase!
You the man Sushi Man! Love your videos and helps me out a lot. Honestly I make it at home now just as tasty as restaurant. Just doesn’t look as good yet lol. We have a fresh seafood market were I live so man it was good! 💪🎣👏👏👏👏 Happy New Year!!
Very nice to meet you, Jun! Loving your videos and the thorough detail you put into the info in them. Can’t wait to see what this next year holds for you!
Happy New Year, Jun! So happy to see you today - visiting Japan is on my bucket list! How wonderful that you had that 2-year experience. I'm so looking forward to all that you bring next! Wishing you all the best in 2025! =]
Loved learning more about you and hearing your story! We’re in Colorado too and it was so cool to see the photos of our area! Been following for a while and love your videos. Just bought your book, it’s beautiful and can’t wait to receive it. Planning a sushi night with my kids for next weekend! 😊
Great videos. I love sushi and have always wanted to try and make it. My problem is my wife cannot eat raw food due to medical issues. You’ve given me ideas on what i can do so we’re going to do it. Any future episodes using non-raw ingredients would be fantastic. Thanks!
I enjoy following you very much, the way you describe how to prepare various meals, not least since I love Japanese food and culture, as well as other cultures. I grew up in Africa and my stepmother was Philippina so I have a lot from those food cultures as well. If I may make a suggestion it would be that you talk a little slower sometimes, imagine that we are standing next to you performing the actions you are teaching us as you describe it to us. No big thing really as I can always paus the film if I need to catch up.
I have already signed up for your online class when it comes available, but was wondering since we are both in the Denver area if you put on an in-person class or know of a good place to take an in-person class? Thank you!
We used to do in-person classes when we ran the catering business but not since we closed it. I've heard SushiDen hosting classes but not sure if they still do.
Great video and we look forward to more. We are content creators and also love sushi. One of the most important things is being able to get high quality fish. Do you have recommendations for that? Currently, we will get fish from Riveria Seafood and planing to try Yama in the near future.
Thanks! True World is great if you can get an account with them but typically you need a retail food license. I haven't tried Riviera or Yama yet but plan to in the near future. How has Riviera been for you?
@@TheSushiMan Riviera has been really good. It's best to the tuna as soon as possible. I stocked up on some and had it the freezer for a month and it lost it's red color. I'm sure that would be typical for any tuna.
I worked for Jun and his catering business. Good guy and good chef.
Thanks for the kind words Will! Cheers! 🍻
Looking forward to seeing the new season
Love this video! Thanks for doing this! 👊🏻
