- Are you missing an AUX in your Honda factory radio. Look no further!
Spend a few minutes with this video and see "How I easy added an AUX to my factory 2005 Honda Accord radio". Your radio must have a CD/AUX button.
1/ I did not want to swap my factory radio for an aftermarket
2/ I wanted to spend as less money as possible
3/ I wanted to have an option how to play the music from my iPhone 6s
What you need:
1/ Philips screwdriver
2/ some sort of door trim panel tools
3/ An AUX adapter amzn.to/3HdxQdv
Newer phones they do not have that 3.5mm jack audio connectivity, so watch my another video about how to add a Bluetooth connectivity here: • How to add a BLUETOOTH...
There is few more options how to finish that final placement of that 3.5mm jack. I just chose to leave it ready in the centre console but like I said in the video, you can go further and for example install a 3.5mm jack female somewhere on your dash, centre console, etc in place YOU like it and even combine it with an USB connection for charging your phone.
This video is about why, what, when and how I did something. It is not a guide nor training, I'm not a professional. If you follow any of it, I take no responsibility.
Man is the goat of 200x Honda radio aux adapter yt tutorials
Great way to modernize this awesome car :)
Thank you so much for the video. With your help, I was able to do the install myself.
Thank you for feedback. I'm glad it worked out for you.
Much respect. Thanks for the knowledge
when you use this, does it cause the radio max volume to be quieter than usual?
I don't hear any difference but quite frankly it's still loud enough for me to avoid the highest volume setting. It's still good quality though.
You do realize... The AUX you just put in wont sound any better than a Bluetooth 5.0 adapter? In fact it will sound worse overall as it creates more NOISE (hissing sound in the background).
I mentioned that there are many other options and I went with a cheap one. You can buy an adapter where you can use the controls on the steering wheel, etc. Besides, if I don't charge my phone at the same time as I play music, there's no hissing sound. And even if it is, you can buy a noise reducer and that's like a 95% solution for that issue.
LMAO dumb richboy doesn’t realize AUX does not have hiss unlike Bluetooth AND some people still use iPods.
I’ve installed one but the music gets increasingly more distorted the longer it’s on until it’s unintelligible… any help?
Did u solve It?
Try to install audio noise filter / ground loop isolator. I had similar issue on a different car and that thing solved it for good.
Is there still static coming from the speakers when the music is paused?
@ericcastro6159 no it's not. If you experience such thing there's a cheap device you can buy and there's no guarantee but it's a good chance it would eliminate it. I bought it for my other car and it worked well
I have this installed one mine but it aint working, is this fused?
The adapter itself isn't fused. If it doesn't work it might be defective or not compatible wirh your radio, I guess.
Yo bro since newer phones don't come with aux ports anymore do you know if usb type c to auc port work with this kit?
That's a good point. I don't have an android phone with usb c but I tried my iphone with lightning connector and it worked when connected directly to 3.5 aux, so I believe a good quality adapter usb c/3.5 aux should work as well.
@fixitorleaveit4393 I just did this install and it was a pain lol, My car has XM option so the connection was inback of the radio. I was still able to get it, it's right next to the blue connector in your video. I was lucky enough to blessed/cursed with small hand. Got pinched alot by that metal bracket but got the job done. Thanks for the video, it did help alot with disassembling everything 😁.
Amazon
can you skip the song with the radio? or directly via the phone?
no you can't use buttons on the radio and you can't use radio controls (besides volume) on a steering wheel. via the phone you can control basically everything and also you can use functions on that bluetooth device. since this is a cheap bt connectivity it is limited with options. there are some other bt devices which allow you to control songs even from a steering wheel.
Good luck with the engine noise!!!!!!
There are very good known noise cancelling devices out there easy to find, they work and are cheap. When I don't charge my phone at the time when I play music, there's no noise at all.
Cual es el modelo del car audio interface? Porfavor
It's in the description of the video
i did all this just for the radio to not have that connection at the bottom even though i have a honda accord sedan 2005
Does your radio comes with the CD/AUX button?
@@fixitorleaveit4393 yes it does its cd/aux and xm
@@Daniel-zs4xh what is the code of the radio? It's located just about nr.6 preset.
I’ve heard sometimes it’s not on the bottom and instead it’s on the back side of the radio unit
@@fixitorleaveit4393 i found it thank you for replying tho
