How to install Moodle 4.2/4.3 on Windows 11

How to install Moodle 4.2 or Moodle 4.3 version on Windows 11 devices. In this video, we will see how you can setup your own local server using WAMP and then install Moodle 4.2 or Moodle 4.3 on it on your Windows devices.
WAMP is a fully functional web server package. It is built to test web based programs on a personal computer. It is not meant for online access via the web on a production server.
An overview of the steps:
01:35 Download the latest version of WAMP
01:59 Install WAMP
04:00 Configure WAMP, which will start Apache and MariaDB
04:40 Confirm webserver is operating with your browser
04:56 Download the standard Latest Moodle (Moodle 4.2 or Moodle 4.3) install package you wish to use
05:20 Unzip Moodle into the www folder
06:10 Use your browser to navigate to Moodle and start the installation process
06:45 Create Database for Moodle 4.3
08:20 Install Moodle, perhaps pausing to update some configuration files & troubleshoot the errors.
14:10 Create Admin user and Front Page settings and you have done it.

hello i followed everything untill the step where u had to restart moodle installation process..how do i restart the installation coz it keeps me on the last intrface on the last step u did befre tht message where u said u re-installed

Hi thanks for your comment. To restart your Moodle installation you need to clear the contents of your wamp/www/your_moodle_folder and then extract the Moodle zip file into that once again. Otherwise you can simply delete the config.php file

I am trying this in win 10 and getting the wampapache64 not starting msg. Should I be able to get it to work on windows10? Just would like to know if it's possible before I restart the process. thank you.

Hi, is upgrading to windows 11 an option. Otherwise you need to search specifically to understand why wamp apache is not starting..
