During the oppressive reign of dictator Zia ul Haq, known for his authoritarian rule, a ban was imposed on the wearing of sarees. In the year 1985, amidst this stifling environment, Iqbal Bano fearlessly appeared in Lahore, donning a striking black saree. Black, symbolizing defiance and resistance, became the color of choice for those opposing the regime.
With unwavering determination, Iqbal Bano took to the stage and began to sing the powerful anthem "Hum Dekhenge" ("We Shall Witness"). The lyrics of this song, written by the renowned poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz in 1979, served as a poignant expression of the people's yearning for freedom and justice after enduring two years of Zia ul Haq's dictatorship.
As the echoes of Iqbal Bano's voice reverberated through the air, a colossal crowd of approximately 50,000 people gathered, their fervor electrifying the atmosphere. United in their dissent, they joined her in chanting the revolutionary slogan, "Inqilab Zindabad" ("Long Live the Revolution").
This momentous occasion marked the birth of a powerful movement, with "Hum Dekhenge" becoming a timeless anthem of protest. Its soul-stirring words and haunting melody echoed in the hearts of countless individuals, serving as a constant reminder of their resilience and determination to challenge the oppressive regime.
Today, the legacy of Iqbal Bano's defiant act and the enduring impact of "Hum Dekhenge" continue to inspire generations, reminding them of the power of art and the unwavering spirit of those who refuse to be silenced in the face of injustice.

nobody moves, its just illusion. Pakistan people are generally far more with character.
I realised yesterday when I found some hardworking Pakistani brother talking to with smile on his face without demanding any thing in return. you don't find this in other parts. in-fact I. other part of the world when you help or talk to someone they feel threatened and sense some fraud.
we have majority people like these who are happy without having material things.
We lack the modern skills, knowledge but I believe that will come surely.
