The series x felt like an upgrade from the one s I'm interested to see the upgraded version on series x now ,thank you for the opinion it answered a lot for me .
The series X version runs better than the PS5 version but the shadows and lighting are still not as good as the PC version which is surprising as it is a 5 year old game so should run fine.
Yeah the sound and lighting are better but the Lighting should be way better on these consoles which is a shame. The game is still Hellingly fun to play though. Hopefully the new season arrives soon so there is something new to sink our teeth into
I'm playing on a years old xbox one x with balanced mode and frame blending on and I have no complaints on that part of the game.. I am quite surprised that the new gen versions don't have balanced/frame blending and overall major graphical and performance updates for this game..
It is a really weird omission, especially with how little was changed graphically, physics is much better and lighting is slightly improved but it should be on par with PC graphics on current gen, with minimum 60fps. I am hoping they get it sorted in a future patch
I found it for $11 but I still wanted an in depth video to see if I should buy it. Thanks for the opinion. You explained it all very well. So funny that people feel entitled to a free upgraded version as if that's normal stuff. Gamers are the most entitled people. If it's a movie, book, car, guitar, etc with even slight improvement, you buy it again. It's how life is. It's so odd to expect it for free.
I think it is because of the big publishers offering free upgrades, which I find odd to be honest, although a discount is nice. Lots of games now allow you to buy the ps4 version and get a free upgrade to rhe ps5 but that is more of a buy both for one price deal.
Good vid. As a pc player of this game, I can add you get that microstutter on the bridge on pc as well if vertical sync is not on. Also, its pretty tough to get a stable framerate without frameblending on pc as well. Surprised they removed the options for these on this console edition.
@@S2uBuGaming I was planing on starting this game but i see different versions on amazon. There is a standard, deluxe and imperial edition. Cant seem to find what the difference is between the deluxe and imperial is and if it even matters content wise. Any idea if they will attempt a physical copy of Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor Martyr Ultimate Edition on ps4 or new gen exclusive ?
Ultimate is current gen only so won't see a PS4 release but the imperial edition has a steelbook and includes most of the DLC for free (including 22 items via a season pass. I think it is all except Prophecy and 1 other which was a preorder bonus
Wait what?! No performance improvement?! That should be step one for PS5 version... at least that. I did enjoy that game for a moment, but it feels like alpha build and it seems I still have to wait for that game to improve. And I really hope it will.
@@S2uBuGaming Yeah, I sub for your channel to see how the game is improving. I have to say I couldn't be that faithful like you are but I remember how patch 2.0 (or something) was a huge improvement. So I'm waiting for few more of those and I'm goin to jump right back to this game. I love the idea and setup!
Yeah, they are always working on the game so hopefully they will be able to sort out the framerate and stuttering. I will definitely keep covering it so hopefully I will have some news for you soon
Physics and a small lighting boost. Oddly it should be able to handle all of the lighting and shadows from the PC version but they were not bought across. I am wondering whether they upgraded the already amended PS4 version rather than bringing across the PC version and reworking it again
Yeah it performs well on the PS5 and looks pretty good. The physics are not the same and the Lighting is not as good but it is a solid game and one that 99% of my videos is based on
I’m struggling to see the reason for this ps5 upgrade? Why not just spend those resources on your next game if the upgrade is going to be this lack luster
I think it was intended more for new players and not as a "buy this upgrade to improve your PS4 version" The physics are better and so is the Lighting (marginally) but other than that no massive changes. The only thing it is includes absolutely all DLC so if you did not have that before it is a good deal
For me that game needs a next new version: 1) performance 2) more interesting enemies and mechanics, especially boss mechanics. 3) I would love to see new campaign that is actually more flawless. 4) Good story missions where I can just imerse in that world 5) Less generic maps with events etc.
That's a big ask for an ARPG, they are not known for their mission variety. I actually find the story in Martyr really good. By far one of the best ARPG stories out there. Here's hoping the get the performance sorted.
@@S2uBuGaming I think I'm talking more about pacing of the story and overall presentation. I think locations and characters wasn't presented in a applying way for me. I know it can sound like a AAA wish, but I'm not talking about very expensive cinematic etc. For me it felt generic maybe mainly because environment and level design was so similar between missions. For some reason I think about storytelling like in Starcraft 2... Oh yeah and now I'm thinking about ARPG Starcraft that I want for years ;)
No problem at all. Hope you enjoy. There is a lot of negativity around the PS5 version at the moment but I do find the Physics upgrade, Haptic and Trigger support to be very good. Hopefully they will sort out the stutter soon.
I really wanted to get this game again but the price even though it's half price and the fact that my PS4 save carries over is putting me off, and some of the kill and collectable trophies popping at 1 is a little annoying
Some of the trophies don't pop at the moment I think as well. There are definitely issues with it don't get me wrong but for half price I think kit is worth it personally, love the physics effects.
@@S2uBuGaming got some good news from neocore today, they are hopefully going to be able to reset profiles in 3 to 4 weeks so I'm going to get the game, I was almost ready to get it anyway, it's a great game and still enjoyable but now I can wait and start over
Sounds great. Hopefully you enjoy. Be aware there are some stutter issues at the moment. Not really frame rate drops but the image seems to snag. I am sure they will sort it but you should be aware before buying
Great vid. Haven't bought it back yet. Because honnestly 60 quids for a game I already played a lot is a bit steeped. Yeah, it is only if you upgrade through the PSN as that is the only way they know if you already have the game. Retail the Ultimate edition should be £49.99
For the main game, all DLC and the expansion it is actually a really good deal IF you don't have the PS4 version. If you have the PS4 version and all the DLC and Expansion then it is a much harder sell
Accepted, it is a very difficult sell to people with the PS4 version. The only difference from what I have seen is the physics and haptic feedback (with trigger support coming soon) I am hoping they boost the visuals to PC levels then it would be essential.
Why is a next gen update for a game with such middling graphics not able to look as good as the PC version? This just screams of a half assed and lazy update. Im so sick of these types of low effort “upgrades”. Why did we spend $550 on these consoles again? Not for this.
No you're right, we spent it for Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Spiderman, Diablo 4. Games coming from well established AAA studios. Neocore is a small developer who never claimed to be making a AAA game, if we consider what Chaosbane did with their next gen upgrade...which was nothing at all, its easy to see smaller devs struggle with the new tach and the costs associated with upgrading. Regardless of the graphical limits of the game and the performance problems, I still find it fun to play. Yes I would like it to look and run like the PC version, which the console is more than capable of doing, but the devs simply do not have the time or resource to make that happen. The engine struggles even on high end PC's in some situations so it is not surprising. I get your frustration but I do not think we will ever see a PC quality version of this game on PS5 or Xbox Series X. Maybe a sequel would if the made it using Unreal or a different engine...
This was an incredibly lazy cash grab from the devs, especially the PS5 "upgrade." I was interested in buying this, but then I saw so many people point out the awful framerate and decided not to. Devs are completely talentless.
I wouldn't say talentless. I would agree there are a lot of issues with the current PS5 version of the game but it is actually not a framerate issue. The background does not stutter at all (which would stutter as well if it was frame rate) so I think it is the randomised assets having problems, possibly due to memory (but I am not a game dev so I don't know for sure) There are some benefits to the PS5 version such as better Physics, Better lighting (marginally) haptic feedback and adaptive triggers but if you already own all of the DLC it is a difficult sale (unless you really want the haptic and triggers) I hope they manage to improve the stutter and I would love to see PC levels of shadows and lighting but I am not convinced that will happen.
