    Oh my I am close to tears. My grandfather, who I never met was a Despatch rider in WW1. I have been trying to find out as much as I can about him and finding your video, hearing what he must have heard..... well you made a 61 yr old woman very happy :) I'd be happy to send you photos of him on his bike, I have one with a whole row of other Despatch riders before they were deployed. He sadly he died in 1947 at only 52 and was in the Black Watch (Royal Highlanders), Highland Cyclist Battalion and finished in the Royal Engineers

    Lovely, my grandfather was an engineer at Douglas until he joined up in 1915, maybe he had a hand in your bike?

    Fantastic job! I sounds great. I love that you bump started the old girl. The kickstart on them I found ineffective and quite difficult to use. I rode one just like it when I was a teen
