- Was only the other day Emilia was born and now look at her!! a little lady getting her ears pierced! she was so excited!! it was so sad a few weeks ago when we tried to get this done!! we didn't update you about it because we felt so bad for her!! you dont always get it right as parents and Emilia being our first born she is the one who is teaching us and making us better parents! so thanks Emilia!

Short History of SACCONEJOLYs
In 2008 Anna was uploading beauty videos to youtube on her own channel and Jonathan was helping her behind the scenes.
In late 2009 Jonathan set up this channel because he wanted to do his own youtube videos. What started out as a week experiment to film his life everyday for 7 days in a row has now become SACCONEJOLYS
this channel was formally known as LeFloofTV but was later changed to SACCONEJOLYs
When Jonathan Joly married Anna Saccone they both decided that instead of Anna dropping her family name they would both take each others name and join them together.
They choose to use SACCONEJOLY rather then JOLYSACCONE simply because it sounded better.
Jonathan and Anna Saccone Joly have four children, Emilia Saccone Joly, Eduardo Saccone Joly, Alessia Saccone Joly and Andrea Saccone Joly they also have six maltese dogs, Albi, Sina, Theo, Bianca, Nivea and Nuvola.
They moved from Ireland to the UK in 2014.

No big deal. Just keep them holes clean and sanitized. Jonathan is more nervous and scared than Emilia. Use Qtips instead of cotton pads. Vitamin C supplements will help in the healing.

Ms89Monkeylover why is it irritating? It's a father saying that about his eldest child. I'm 17 now and my Dad says that to me still all the time. It's very emotional, and in fact, my Dad started crying the other day because he doesn't want me to get a boyfriend and move out. It's bloody emotional, so don't sit there and say it's annoying when you clearly don't know what it's like.

My grandad said to my aunt “you don’t have to do it” in the car to the wedding, they ended up divorcing. When my sister got married, my dad said “I won’t say what grandad said, you’ll make it”. My sister now has 4 kids with her hubby

I hope they know that after the three weeks they can’t take her earrings out, they can change them but she needs to have something in them for at least 6 months as they could easily close over! (I work at Claire’s and have seen this happen first hand)

Omg same! Also the lady on the left did the piercing on an angle and now because the earring is pointing down you can see the butterfly. This is literally my biggest pet peeve.
@Sophie McLaren I got my ears pierced at 8 and played soccer. We were allowed to wear bandaids on them for soccer.. so I wonder if she could do the same.
I had my ears done at clairs and one of mine went infected cus they done them to tight. Also they are just pushing a blunt object through ur flesh. Would recomend having it done in an pirecing parlor

Tip: Get a spray top for the ear cleaning solution bottle and then you can just spray the back and front of the ear. So much easier.

I had the ‘three week’ piercing done a few months ago and I would highly recommend you leave it longer than three weeks. When I tried taking mine out my ear started bleeding as it hadn’t fully healed. How quickly your ears heal depend on your body more than a solution that just claims to take less time.
I had the 3 week one too but it healed in just a 8 days no blood or swelling, I guess it depends the person's body.
Nina rose I can assure your piercing did not heal within 8 days. It takes a minimum of 6 weeks for an ear piercing to heal completely.

Mine took 10 weeks lmao, the Claire’s earrings are SO annoying to get out, my mum and dad spent around 3 hours getting mine out
i have never ever seen a child like Emilia..she is such a strong, understanding, beautiful girl..in such age ..i don't have words to say..Emilia and you parents are do lucky to be in each others's life..touchwood😊😊
My 6 year old for hers done at Claire's. Never again, did exactly everything as followed and let them heal for 6 weeks and they never ended up healing and had to come out. 3 weeks is absolutely no where near long enough!
Stephanie R it is long enough, people’s bodies must react differently, my sisters were fine after three weeks, and she took them out for PE and they were fine, she has the holes still now after a year and they’re perfectly fine.... point is everyone’s bodies are different so three weeks may not be good for your daughter but for my sister it was

Stephanie R I agree. I got my second lobe piercings in October 2018. They have only recently properly healed. Though took 4 months for them to be healed enough to take them out/change jewellery.
Different people seems to heal at different rates. I have quite chunky ear lobes so think that’s why mine took so long. And don’t get me started on my cartilage piercing. That took even longer 😂
Got mine properly pierced by a tattooist (needle not gun). I changed them around 2 weeks. I do think the gun makes it take longer because it doesn't use a sharp needle, it uses blunt force by forcing a blunt earring post through. Just my opinion.
It’s because of the gun. One it’s not sharp enough, two the force of the gun slamming the earring in so it can cause a lot of trauma, and three ears swell, the earrings they put in don’t allow for swelling. A professional piercer that uses needles puts in a bar long enough so it allows for swelling. Claire’s shouldn’t be allowed to pierce, they’re not professionals

Anna please don't clean the ears like that for the first few weeks.. Just pour the solution on a cotton and then squezze the cotton on the front & back of earrings. Then rotate the earrings.

I’ve been watching since she was born and just getting to see the big milestone you’re children go through makes me so emotional and I’m not even related!!! Would recommend to only put pure metal earrings in for a few months... and also keep cleaning with a saline solution (I got one from boots) for a while after just to ensure they don’t get infected xxx
I also wouldn’t recommend taking them out after 3 weeks as they can still heal over very quickly, mine did in the time I took a shower even though I used the rapid solution... I understand it’s hard but see if you could get one more week off swimming or if she could wear them just to ensure they don’t heal over xxx

H It was 6 weeks when Ihad mine pierced. Mind you, it was 20 years ago this month when my mum took me to this little cubby hole over the top of a nail bar where we live. It was just before my 16th Birthday. Earrings were on every Birthday and Christmas list after that.

aw well done Emilia! I can so relate to you Jonathon, I work in a Nursery with 0-5 year old children. We teach feed, comfort and put these children to sleep from 7am to 7pm and we get paid minimum wage. But I always wonder if they remember me when they are older. I always wonder if they remember the little things we did for them and what we have taught them from an early age that they have carried through to their adulthood x
Guys, stop leaving bad comments about the piercing and how is it done. My ears were pierced like this before 18 years and I didn't have any problems or so. Jonathan and Anna are more than amazing parents to their kids- leave them alone- they know what to do!

I think it’s lovely you let the kids decide if they want a hole in their ears forever! I got mine done when i was 10 and made the decision myself :) I feel bad for babies that don’t have a voice yet.

I got my ears pierced at Claire’s 20 years ago. I’m still alive, I have both of my ears and have never had problems. People need to calm down. 😭

Just because you got lucky doesn’t mean others have. To be honest I think most people are calm, just surprised as I remember most people commented on the video telling them to avoid Claire’s for piercings.
A little tip for Emilia Piercing: Do not just clean it with a cotton pad. Small threads can get stuck on the plug and ignite. In addition, no liquid enters the wound canal. The liquid should accelerate there to heal. So rather put a not too small amount of liquid directly on the plug. ☺️
And don‘t turn it around!
With that you tear the wound up again and again.
Emilia I am so proud of you! My girls now 25 and 21 were just like you. They cried a bit as well. And they were 13! So very proud and you look so beautiful as always!!
Anna if you're planning on her taking out her earrings for P.E, that's not really going to be possible when it's only been 3 weeks. It's weeks/months before you can leave earrings out without the holes closing up. The 3 week guideline is just about changing the earrings. Emilia will struggle to get the earrings back in after PE so soon after getting them pierced. (I have 15 piercings so I know what I'm talking about) Just wanted to let you know !

Use qtips and sterile saline to clean them! The Claire's solution has a lot of additives that can irritate the piercing

c_3003 _dance we’re not saying that her ears won’t heal, we are just saying it is like a scam cause and whether you pay extra for 3 weeks or keep the original 6 weeks plan your ears will probably be the same when you change your earrings.
But you should still wait 6 weeks before changing lobe piercings just in general as well soo...

Abby Louise I did too, so did my other half when he got his ear done. They are awful!
I went to Claires for my first ear piercings when I was 12, they healed perfectly and never had any infections. I go to a reputable tattoo shop for other ear and body piercings? (5 in total from tattoo shops, two from Claires) WITHOUT FAIL they got infected and one still hasn't healed FIVE YEARS after getting it done. I know I am just one person, however my sister and multiple friends have had similar experiences. I'm not sure why there is so much hate for Claires...
Claire’s is known for giving infections because the equipment should be disposed of after use. It can never be cleaned 100% properly. Even still, getting a professional piercing doesn’t mean it won’t get infected if it’s not properly cared for

Well it IS more dangerous and often times more painful with the piercing gun..
Meike I mean it's not too bad I have double lobes pierced on both side but had them pierced 4 times and only two of the times were successful . It depends wether you look after tehm
It’s not dangerous at all, if anything is safer for children. I was a piercer at Claire’s for years and went through so much training. It’s incredibly safe and probably safe than going to a tattoo studio.

Tahney Foster unfortunately it’s so much more painful to pierce with a needle and that’s from personal experience. For a lobe piercing a ‘gun’ (which is also untrue, as it’s just a cartridge with an earring) is perfectly safe as the only thing that is in that part of your ear is fat so it can’t cause any harm.
Bless you sweetheart! I have my ears done, nose done multiple times and I had my lip done in the past... I cried every time! You’re so brave and they’re so pretty ❤️

100% agree with the comments saying piercing ears with a gun is not as safe as using a needle but at the end of the day every body my age from my generation(30 years old) all had them pierced with a gun and all of our ears healed just fine and are fine to this day so lighten up!

Yea there's no such thing as a 3 week piercing...
100% agree. it depends on the person and the area for it to heal. I have a cartilage piercing that took a year and a half to fully heal
Brooklynn yeah but cartilage isn’t the same as earlobes which are basically just skin flaps, they mostly take 6 weeks minimum though. My helix piercing took some months too but my ear holes healed very quickly

@@mancmcr8172 lol you people are so dense the name of the school they attend has been published on many an online article, its common knowledge everyone knows what school they go to! Blurring the uniform logo serves zero purpose
@@SssssssslfYou people? Is there any need to be so rude? My point was that I didn't get what possible interest grown adults had in producing multiple postings of the name of a school someone elses children go to.
Of course if I went searching I'm pretty sure I could work out any childs school from the colour of the uniform if I knew the area but I have no interest in searching someone elses kids school really because that is a bit strange in itself.
It is like me going onto a news article in my local press, seeing a child in uniform and posting five times underneath that they go to St Andrew's.
Baffled.
