Nice to see a video of someone trying to be thoughtful. Although I personally don’t worry about my footprint upon the earth I do try and make things better than when I first came somewhere.
On the subject I don’t see people as the problem but the solution. And when we understand psychological what is actually going on in human beings lives it’s not as simple to start a community clean up group etc. Point being that is like the leaky roof analogy from a previous video. To start such a group is like operating to fix a disk issue in someone’s back. It may very well help but it’s not addressing the problem. And when it comes to human beings things get very complicated very quick. basically human beings are part of the destruction, but to pacify their guilt they want to focus on making selected areas of the earth pretty to look at if you get my point. so go ahead and do that if you like, but understand, it’s not addressing the suffering. Because eventually, it will come down to you, forcing people to behave a certain way or think a certain way if the goal is earths preservation. And that’s actually a religion unto itself.
I like your videos . But the topics and discussions, i.e. talks basically is nothing new under the sun as the saying goes.. I understand it’s new to you. But I still like your thoughtful approach with all the garbage that’s on the Internet..

48:54 "The first thing that an abuser does is make you lose sight of who you are. It's called gaslighting."
While the pattern may seem obvious in hindsight, it took me more than a decade to identify these confusing behaviors with confidence. Once you develop this awareness, the signs become more readily apparent. However, even with experience, it can still take you by surprise when those who gaslit you are trusted authorities like priests or judges or family members. Keeping a daily journal can offer valuable insights into these behaviors.

‘People who hurt others, you can’t reason with them.’ Yes. Walk away from the poop. You will not be a better person or change someone like that. The hard reality is that it often takes time to realize someone is a piece of ‘tong.’ The investment of time and hope leads to deep grief. For the kinder hearted, it’s so hard to know people are not all good or bad. Abusers count on that and feel entitled to limitless empathy. Took me 40 years to learn this. I can’t remember how to do algebra and it had no use for my life; if the taught this is school, I would’ve made better decisions in my life much sooner. Thank you Goobie. My Saturday is starting off well virtually hiking with your excellent company. 🌈😊

of course anything truly worth learning is never taught as curriculum, coz empowered people are no longer gullible. and yes, the investment of time and hope makes the cut that much worse bcz some part of it is now OUR choice sticking around when we shud've known better, put our foot down, cut our losses, hell with the sunk cost fallacy and walked away/set boundaries.
i can't drink someone's poison to make them heal - that's NOT LOVE. what harms me, cannot be love.

There are too many cyclists in Singapore who are hateful and very selfish. They purposely ride fast and close towards pedestrains, endangering pedestrains. They selfishly choose to take the pedestrain traffic light crossing most away from the main traffic, making pedestrain walk nearer the car traffic path. All the cyclists block the traffic light crossing so pedestrain need stand behind them. On pedestrain walking path, cyclists expect pedestrains to give way to them! Cyclists are too selfish to slow down or stop if walking path has pedestrains walking to and fro. Cyclists are in such hurry, yet they too coward to ride on the road. Tons of cyclists are road bully, they are scared to ride on the road, so they ride on pedestrain path and bully the lowest class users ie the walking pedestrains on the walking path which from time beginning was made for pedestrain!

You have stated previously about the expectations put on you by others and by yourself. I took a class on self-esteem, and they shared that as you learn to make healthy boundaries you generally come out of one ditch and land in the ditch on the other side of the path until you learn a healthy balance. They warned us to make changes slowly, but it's hard. Generally, we are making changes because our emotional cup is too full, and we can't cope with one more emotional reaction to the situation. I did not do well changing my balance and went from ditch to ditch over the years, but it is getting easier to stay on the path. Life is this balancing act, Blessings

In the Tao Te Ching, it says that those who are aligned with the Tao have no locks, yet nothing can be taken from them. This means those who align with the Oneness of All-That-Is need no protection from others since they know underneath the show of duality, we are one and the same. We are the Tao. The Universe. The cosmos. Etc. 🕉☯️✌️🧚‍♂️

Hi Dr. Goobie! I'm from SW Washington and I'm super jealous of your nature trips. I hope you can organize nature trips, I'll be the first one to sign up! I appreciate your work. I learn so much from you and it's super refreshing to hear from someone medically-trained that the only way to cure the body is to take care of it organically through the food we eat and experiencing nature.
Back in 2015, my husband and I consulted with a reproductive medicine doctor because we are having a hard time to conceive. Doctor prescribed fertility shots and we did artificial insemination for 3x but all failed. I questioned everything after that and read a book to understand the science of reproduction. I learned that it's all about getting my hormones balanced. I focused on my health, my weight and eating whole foods. I lost so much weight in a healthy pace as a result. I also did acupuncture. Lo and behold, we conceived! My daughter is 8yo now.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom Dr. Goobie! Please continue what you're doing to help save humanity and nature. ❤❤❤

Great story! Congratulations! Thank you for sharing. I'm also extremely sceptical about the modern medical standard of care treatments. I'm also into natural holistic diet and lifestyle, instead of medicine. However I must admit that it seems that I owe my life in great part to a gynecological surgeon. My mother carried me through to only one month premature cessarian section thanks to a renowned German gynecologist successfully cutting out my mum's uterine cyst (without harming the uterus) that had been allegedly causing my mother's 8 miscarriages before me, but only discovered late in the day. In those days they didn't have proper ultra sound imagery until the late 60's or early 70's I gather. I was born in 72. 3 previous gynecologists said it was impossible to cut out the cyst without damaging the uterus. Then my mother had to learn to inject my dad with sperm enhancing medicine regularly, would you believe it, cause his sperm count was low and his sperm were slow. Then my parents had to practice sexual intercourse only at the correct most fertile time of the month and my mother had to measure her temperature. However after my mother failed to conceive, the doctor asked my parents to come to the hospital in order to have sexual intercourse so that she could lie on a hospital bed where the legs can be elevated, to prevent gravity pulling down the sperm, and also to put a seal on her vagina after to further stop any sperm from spilling out and give more of them a chance. That worked, believe it or not! I believe that the team of doctors that took care of my mother at the Frauenklinik in Munich, Germany, were really good and kind and humane. The main doctor who did the operation and oversaw my mum's treatment: devised the sexual intercourse schedule I guess, and oversaw her pregnancy, most of which she actually had to spend in hospital due to her anxiety and fear, and also the doctor's concerns that she is at risk of having another miscarriage, so they decided hospital was the best place to try to act quickly in case of suspected miscarriage to prevent it. The hospital was beautiful, and she even got a special keto/Atkins diet of steak and spinage and vegetables. Maybe just plant based whole foods diet would have been better, but at least they tried prescribing her a healthy diet which they don't seem to bother with doing now a days. Sorry for this having gotten really long!

I have been gaslit by a bonafide sociopath. I had my reality twisted into a place I didn’t recognize. I loved someone who did not exist. It does leave you without an identity. Once I finally recognized what I was dealing with I went no contact. No contact is the only solution.

Onyx can be black. As a painter, I have found that the richest black can be a blend of various colors. Degas the famous painter, Sargent, et al used rich black mixtures of color to describe so many things in their compositions on canvas, i.e. hats, and other clothing items. Though we see the black forms have no details, our memories provide the details in our mind’s eye. It is really wondrous🖤 You are pure joy Doctor Goobie. Thank you so much💟

Thank you. I love your videos. Long walk, long talk, everything. Hope you well. You are helping yourself and helping me (a stranger) too because I can relate to your life story very much and on a healing journey as well. You're inspiring many people all around the world. It's just like a party. (I really like the "party" expression you used so I'm keeping it. It helps me to think positively about growing human population.) Life on earth is kinda cool.

Dr Goobie you are my morning 'wake up call'. I rise and shine to you always x The Sun is Shining and Fall is here, I am about to do my routine walk into the forest, woodland, river, mountains, waterfalls and streams. Just away from people me time to contemplate and to love myself. I feel that nobody intentionally hurts another persons feelings, it's how you feel it and take it to heart. I am seeking and chasing new dreams, I believe in True Love coming where lost found somewhere else. 🖤🖤

Hi Doc glad to see you getting the support you needed. Just like you, I quit my job because of stress and so on... Just like you I have been searching for that answer or that unknown to make me feel and think the way I used to. You are step ahead and has taken that courage to seek help. 👍👍👍👍 It's something that I have thought about but have been myself denying that help. After watching this video, I have decided to go for it😊. Thank you and more power to you 🙏🙏🙏

i like what you said about forgive and love yourself, then others. i think while it’s true that there are people that make mistakes or do bad things, it’s not necessarily good to generalize that person as bad or incapable of change, although obviously we all need to do practical things and not be just idealistic.

In Valencia, Spain we used to have a river that crossed the city, but after a flood the river was moved to another route around 60 years ago. To make use of the old riverbed, the government has built a park half the size of Central Park with running and biking areas, an olympic field, football and rugby fields, lakes, a 70 meter Gulliver laying on the floor with slides for kids, big monuments like the City of Arts and Sciences... The park is not well-known even in Spain and I don't get why but for me is the best thing of the city. Cheers.

After years of going out with the social elites in my sub group ... I finally decided no more. They were judgmental of people and their friends. They didn't quite understand my pulling away from them. But I had always felt as a tag along. They would make use of my skills and empathy towards others. They were not purposefully vindictive, but always saying how cool and special their activities were. This sub group is a minority yes, but I was raised not to make this part of myself the main factor in life. I have started living independent of matters which are not of value to my own self/personal agency. Yes, it is more lonely with activities, but being away negative thinking is freeing. Binary thinking is navigating the world with out mindfully thinking of the grey areas. Plus being 61 yrs old soon means I have less energy with others. Hold on to your own values and being kind along the way is important. 🖖

We really need more people like you in this world, I had to learn these lessons the hard way but because my core values are to "treat as you wanna be treated" I came to the conclusion that giving up is never an answer. In my perspective of reality we all need everyone for a better future since no one is the best at everything and without problems we won't find the solution that prevents all others from the problems standing in their way for happiness. Thank you for your beautiful words and perspective. ❤ (Sorry about my English language skills, it is my 5th language so I am still learning)

I think being on call for so many years makes you realize the negative impact of cell phones!

But I am becoming comfortable with thinking about it, and that's because you're setting an example, a baseline for those like me who don't know their own efficient equations to help maintain a healing growth mindset. It takes a lot of courage and vulnerability and energy into the equation of healing efficiently. Watching helps me through my own healing path. Thank you
