Welcome to the a NEW Efteling vlog series! In this day 2 video, I want to show you all the things I love about Efteling as a theme park. We go on all the big rides, including some of my favourites, such as Dream Flight, Symbolica and Fata Morgana! Of course, we also cover the popular roller coasters, such as Baron 1898, the Flying Dutchman and Python. With winter park hours being only from 11 am - 6 pm, we manage to have a lot of fun, going on a variety of attractions, both thrill rides and family rides, experiencing the beautiful nature side of the park, and eating delicious Efteling food! I loved seeing my friend, Amanda, experience some of these beloved Efteling attractions for the first time :)

I went to the Netherlands and the Efteling for the first time this August, and I'm ALREADY planning for my next visit in 2025. I love to see the park in a different season than the summer/autumn. I also appreciate looking at 3 beautiful girls who also seem to love the park❤
about villa volta, its not only the best one, but its also the first ever one
I believe the Efteling received a reward for ingenuity, or something in 1996 for Villa Volta.

Please note that there is a lot of construction work and maintenance going on so you’ll see a lot of that and not everything is gonna be open.

If you want to know the Villa Volta secret: Villa Volta is actually like a massive swing in a spinning barrel, so you don't go upside down. Basically, you slowly swing back and forth (steepest angle is like 30°) while the room (the barrel) spins around you in such a way that it tricks your brain into thinking you're going upside down.
Fun fact: If you look at the mirrors on either side of the room you can see what the swing is doing, aka what angle you're tilted at.

Did you know the sweater from droomvlucht is glow in the dark? Love these videos. I'm an annual pass holder there myself, so love the see how much you like it
Love your vlog. I was a highschooler when Droomvlucht first opened. Stood in line for over 2 hours and it was worth it. Still my fav attraction at Efteling to this day. Second is Fata Morgana!

The pre-shows can be a bit long if you don't understand Dutch (or Brabants 😂), but the ride itself never stops to amaze me. Music is perfect and although I don't feel the movement effect, it's still a very fun ride!

Disney was first 😄 A team of the Efteling visited Disney World and wanted their own version of a boat ride. But with their own Efteling sauce 😄

I didn't watch the hole video yet but I will for sure:) but the villa Volta trigger me to write already:) when I was a child we had a little park called fairytale garden without much rides just fairytales to explore and I grow up in it xD they had a similar ride like this. It's so much of a childhood memory 💙 and I still hope I can visit efteling one day :)

Looks a great place Sam, well worth a visit. Was wondering is it always that quiet. Seems too good to be true. Sensible prices and great value and excellent quality. How easy is it to get there from GB. .?
I've always gone during the week, which is quieter. I believe in the summer holidays/weekends, it can get quite busy - Efteling is the 3rd most visited theme park in Europe :) But overall, it's a lot more calm and manageable than other theme parks I've been to, and definitely more reasonably priced for what you get!
The crowd is the lowest when there are no schoolholidays in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. In Springtime you can expect schooltrips during the week and that can make it more busy. There is a crowdlevelschedule on the website of the Efteling.

would LOVE a how to get from london to efteling video as im not a fan of flying but would love to go here. also how many days would you recommend visiting efteling for if you wanted to get everything done? loving this series so far
Thank you! Will do that :) I'd say 2-3 days is a good amount of time. 2 is probably enough in quieter times x
I just went to Efteling from London for three days over new years, it was awesome. We took the Eurostar to Amsterdam and then a train from Amsterdam Centraal to Tilburg where we stayed during the Efteling visit. Tilburg is about 20 minutes by bus to the park.

How many days is best for first timers, 2 days or 3 days???? Going in the summer, likely peak season, I'm leaning towards 2 days but don't know if there's simply too much to do in that amount of time.
I think if you stay onside, 2 days will be enough time to do most of the major attractions and get a nice feel for the park :) Especially with longer opening hours x

Do people go on the Pirana/Flying Dutchman during Winter time?
Pirana seemed empty any time I went past it - Flying Dutchman, of course! We went on it and loved it :)
YOu get less wet on the flying dutchman in winter as they lower the water. The Pirana is undergoing HUGE renovations and won't be open for a long time. It's gonna be extra extra extra wet next time you go on it.
Also, Flying Dutchman was tuned to create a big splash without the people getting really wet 😄

Holle Bolle you pronounce perfect! G of Gijs is as in Pagode. IJs of Gijs is as in rice. I would love to meet you one day, maybe next year in Disney ❤😘😘😘
