Now we know what Canon’s strategy is.
They want to continue to maintain the leading edge in the media broadcasting industry.
Their cutting edge technology is preserved for higher end products and not consumer products.
Sony can take care of lower value mass market.
There’s no right or wrong approach.

Do you understand that these are very different markets that do not cross with each other? Canon doesn't make any camera, that I know of, that is for broadcast. They make only the lenses.
