I'm a Nigerian currently in Nigeria trying to apply for Malta student visa this summer and I only have 1 year and 3 months remaining on my passport, will I be issued a visa with 1 year validity on my passport or I should instead get a new one before applying for a visa, and how easy it is to get my passport renewed in Malta. I just need to know if my passport validity could be a reason why l'd be denied a visa. Thank you!

Passport validity has to be nothing less than 6 months, renewal of passport is done in neighboring European countries
