Thank you so much for this video. I think I will choose Allianz for insurance - it’s cheaper. I got an admission to the university of luxembourg 😊🎉 Please what documents exactly are required for the temporary authorization to stay?
Hi, congratulations on that. Well, the choice is yours, there is why I talked about various insurance companies and the website where you can compare prices. However, I suggest you contact the insurance company first and tell them the purpose of the health insurance so that they will issue you the appropriate health insurance certificate. I have made a video about what you need to know about the temporary authorisation to stay, so I will refer you to the video as I cannot start writing all those lengthy details here. Visit my channel, or you can access the video via the link below: LUXEMBOURG’S TEMPORARY AUTHORISATION TO STAY /VISA APPLICATION STEPS FOR STUDENTS: ruclips.net/video/Ki47vAoejs4/видео.html Regards Nuel
The next steps should be written in the offer letter, and the conditions to be met will also be stated. However, generally speaking, you should start the process of applying for temporary authorisation to stay in Luxembourg [ see the video and vital links to the appropriate website in my channel] and the recognition of your foreign diploma, the so-called equivalency [ Also see the video and vital links to the appropriate website in my channel]. Regards Nuel
Hello Sir, You said six months. Does the insurance start when we arrive to luxembourg or from before the time we get there? Thank you. Hoping you reply
I am not an immigration officer, lol. Logically, it would be best if you had valid insurance/travel insurance as you arrive in the country. Regards Nuel
i would like to know about is that, before arriving and after arriving for health insurance. I'm going to study at Lunex in coming October. I know that i have to buy travel insurance for visa process and when i purchase it i just only need to buy before registration day of University, after i have registered for Uni, What type of health insurance do i need to buy it again.
It would be best to have enough health insurance for your coverage, including your travel and perhaps a few weeks after arrival. I know that the University of Luxembourg has an insurance arrangement for their students; some insurance companies are affiliated with the University. However, since they usually give 6 months visas, purchasing at least 6 months of health insurance (My opinion, though not binding) would be a good idea. All the best. Nuel
Good morning bro, I am messaging from Nigeria. Can I obtain my health insurance policy after getting admission, as it is stated as an admission requirement?
To apply I should expect to get an insurance of approximately 400€? Cos my aunt keep insisting that I’ll be expected to pay for health insurance for the entire 3 years program at once. I also can’t find any information about the fee to register with the statutory health insurance scheme directly to the University, if I don’t want to use an external health insurer.
@@nuelonyedikaokpala I mean the premium for the insurance. I’m having trouble understanding the health insurance aspect of the whole thing. What’s the minimum initial payment needed?
@@eyesackisaac5641 Contact the insurance company, and they will give you a quote. The link is there below the video. How much you pay is different from the worth of the insurance. Go to their page. Everything is explained. Nuel
Why would you need health insurance to apply for an admission especially when you are not residing in the country. Health insurance is needed when applying for the temporary authorisation to stay. Regards Nuel
The Immigration Directorate has to approve your Temporary authorisation to stay first. You will apply for VISA D. I cannot state the duration of that visa D. However if you are in Luxembourg, the resident permit is usually granted for a year at each time. Please get in touch with the authority for more. Nuel
@@engr.onyiixofficial2468 Well, in principle, you should have insurance that will cover you until you arrive in Luxembourg and a couple of weeks after. But from my experience, they offer about 6 months of VISA D, so it will make sense to have between 6 months and 1 year of health insurance; this is my opinion. I will advice you to also send an email to the Immigration Directorate Luxembourg if you need more clarification. All the best. Nuel
A health insurance certificate is part of the documents you will submit when using the temporary authorisation to stay. It is essential that the insurance covers your travel and a few weeks after arrival in Luxembourg; hence it is up to you if you want to buy 6b months or more. Unfortunately, I will not be able to decide that for you. You can also contact the immigration directorate for more specific responses. Regards Nuel.
