Really nice explanation. I am 51 years old and played in under 15 from Gujarat team in 1985. Really enjoyed watching basics of swing. Today's children are lucky that they have different learning platform. During our time, we used to search for video cassette of some players to learn
So nice of you

I wish I had met you 20 years ago. Had lethal pace and inswing, had learnt bowling from listening to seniors and commentators on TV, but never realized the importance of thumb. Today, after watching this video, I finally had my " o teri" moment. I can't bowl fast anymore, but I feel excited to have learnt it. Thank you Sir! Aap ka bahut bahut dhaynavad.

Sir ka cricket club kha hai
Swing involves:
1) wrist manipulation to create angles
2) switch-over of rough/shiny sides of the ball
3) manifests as lateral movement in-flight
4) can be altered by wind factor
5) usually achievable in the 120-140 kmph band
Example: Wasim Akram
Seam involves:
1) No wrist manipulation & seam of ball is often held uptight
2) exploits pitch irregularities (grass, cracks etc), when seam of the ball is made to hit the pitch
3) manifests as lateral movement After hitting the deck
4) usually achievable in the 140-155kmph band
Example: Brett Lee
Absolutely like Shaheen is doing currently
Swing can happen at lower speeds as well from 90 to 120 kph as the lower limit for aerodynamics is low. This is why some spinner with new ball swing it too
@@sevenheaven181 meri speeds⏲ 120kmh ke upar ni jaatii😥😭😭😭🤧😣😩🐇
@@tanmay_6363 No need to get disappointed. Try to get your wrist position right for swing (one or both) and then work on speeds gradually. Once, your wrist is right and you start to move the ball which is difficult to do, you can increase your speed by keeping the wrist position
@@sevenheaven181 ❤💕💕👌🏻
Ye bohat hi achi video hai... Ramesh Sir, bohat acha method hai... Love & Respect from Pakistan🇵🇰
Thanks
Thanku very much sir .for your tips .
Venkatesh Prasad was one such bowler who used to swing the ball appreciably but lacked speed which made him easy fodder for batsmen.
True
Irfan Pathan was fastest young bowler but later compromised speed for swing
@@JayK.2002_ Not just Irfan Pathan, but Munaf Patel too. Munaf Patel was lightning quick when he started, due to the advise of wrong people, he cut down on pace to concentrate on line, length, swing and accuracy thereby he became a rank medium pacer, a trundler and India lost a bowler who was really fast.
Namaskar sir ji,I regularly follow all your videos, very interesting and informative, iam 38 years old & iam medium fast bowler,my average speed is between 100-110 some times 120 also, but can't generate the same speed consistently,I am getting upper back pain, and one more thing,I have watched your video on run up as you told to pump your arms vertically in the bowling action and not to pump horizontally, but my action is bit horizontal pumping while taking a run up,do I need to change my action,it's bit similar like saurav ganguly action, when I tried doing it vertically I feel it's getting chuck..pls help me how to get rid of this problem.. hope you will reply me soon .. thank you sir keep going, your doing such a wonderful job ..
You need strengthening of back and ab muscles both. To increase speed you got to make arms action very fast. If you are comfortable with your run up it's fine
hello big fan sir ma 10 saal ka hon oor ma appni state kaliya khiltha hoon oor yourker ball expert hoon

Thank you so much sir aapne bahut achha explain kia hai aesa hi koi video dekhna chahraha tha ki koi achhe se inswing aur outswing balling ke baare mai samjhaye wo sir aapne samjha Diya so thank you so very much 🥰
I think fast bowler describes very well as Shane bond & Brett Lee
Thanks sir, for this very informative video.. I am from Nepal.i am right arm medium fast bowler.i am improving my bowling skill by following your videos ...sir .? How can we increase our bowling speed by using wrist and non bowling arm ..?plz.sir.......
Wait for the video it is coming soon
For me, first time ,some one scientifically and very nicely explained how a bowl swings, it's all about how to use air pressure to move the bowl in or out with pace.
THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR

Amazing video sir.

I am also a medium pace bowler I can outswing the ball easily but I am unable to inswing the ball . So to learn inswing I am here. But as you told me stock ball in that point I use my straight ball . Last time when I tried to ball inswing . I unable to do it and My outswing was also stopped So my question is should I continue to try ball inswing or stay with my old plan? please let me know sir
Any new variety should be added but don't do that overly. Before the end of the session you should bowl outswingers only after doing practice of inswing
Bro outswing is the dangerous ball if you want to bowl in to the batsmen just bowl off cutter
@izahar ahmed
I learnt in swing on my own using a normal kid's plastic ball that has seam pattern at centre. Initially, I also struggled to inswing the ball and I watched lot of videos explaining the same technique similar to this video. The problem with this technique is most of the times your release will be a scrambled seam. So, if you are lucky it will swing into the right hand batsman if the release is correct i.e., an upright seam position pointing towards leg slip/fine leg. So, I tried to correct my release with same technique by observing it in the video of my release recorded with my phone. However, It didn't work for me.
So what worked for me was, ROTATING MY WRIST TOWARDS LEG SLIP DURING RELEASE. After learning this, I was able to swing-in but my pace dropped a bit due to that wrist rotation adjustment. I continued practising this with plastic ball and was able to achieve both pace and inswing.
The idea is, only you have to figure out yourself that how you are going to achieve that seam position by making adjustment in your action and release. For some people in my cricketing circle, it works by keeping natural wrist release but ny delivering the ball from left side of their head (check Mohd. Asif's coaching video on swing).
Good luck ! I hope my experience helped.
Thanks sir ji👍🏻,
Tusi great ho 😀

Sir I am 13 years old medium fast bowler my average speed is 100 kmph with a good length and line and some seam movement I am learning outswing first but what is my good speed according to my age.
