Congratulations Simon! Two in a row is truly amazing.
Two in a row, and a 2nd place the week before that even is insane
"twice or it is luck" xD love the man
So happy to see Simon playing up to his potential; super smart, in control; pulling out the trick shots only when necessary!
Simon is back! Woot!
I CALLED BOTH OF THESE...and I WON'T rule out 3 in a row? Well Done and keep it up Simon!
As a long time fan of my favorite it was easy to see this coming just by watching and following him.
Guy is like a surgeon, slicing through this course with ease. Made each of those shots look so smooth and effortless and played out exactly like he planned in his head.
I'm hearing the European comments. Simon prob has a lot of fans in Europe.... I was glued to coverage.
Casey was so happy again, beautiful to see
Nice shots bro! Love to see it!
the low five lap is why he is the peoples favorite
Twice not luck lol Simon is the best. Make that 4 now bud.
Twice or it’s luck!
Spoiler alert! How about not putting the name of the winner in the title, front photo?
I am sorry, indeed this does not hold for curling players ;)
@William Lee you must have lots of friends
@@WillEnj0y I mean other sports have pre written articles about the winner and the second the winner is clear they choose the correct article and the results show everywhere, this is how sports work.
@Leroyfreeroy Dang, did you just lose another call of duty match or something?
Is it bad that I'm disappointed that he didn't have an ace or throw-in eagle? I love watching him win regardless, but I can't help but want the smart and the flashy.
Maybe trick shots competition would-be really fun!!
Dgpt, literally what is wrong with you? Eu people can't reasonably watch live when it goes from 1am to about 5am, then 8 hours of work 3 hours after that and the first thing after work I see when I want to watch the vod is the spoiler for who wins, just please say winner highlights with a generic thumbnail
😂😂😂
The point is that DGPT dropped this literally 2 mins after Jomez dropped their final round coverage which is dumb. Anyone subscribed to DGPT was basically informed straightaway of who won without any chance of ignoring it. And yes, I know what you’re going to say…”then just unsubscribe” and you’re right, I probably will.
@@smtx11 I can avoid spoilers on other social media just fine, but when the channel I want to watch the vod on spoils it before I get a chance, is really boring. The video wouldn't be any worse if it said winner highlights
@@smtx11 maybe it's time for a change. It's not just a ME problem, in every aspect people complain about spoilers, reddit had spoiler tags, maybe youtube should do the same. Or the channel could do what I suggested and nobody could complain. This doesn't deduct from others' experience if the video title is not a spoiler
@@smtx11 You know not everyone has time to watch 5 hours of live discgolf right? So just because of that they deserve to be spoiled the winner?
When is dgpt gonna stop filming with potatoes. Literally every other coverage is way better quality. I’d never pay to watch this
DGPT has live coverage, which means the feed is broadcast live over mobile networks that sometimes have bad signal, and because everything is digital now the resolution drops from time to time.
Posted before back 9 coverage was up. Oof.
Not a big fan of spoilers before Jomez has even released their coverage of the final round. I’m gonna have to unsubscribe if this happens again, but I don’t want to. Spoilers suck.
Come on, this is a totally different channel from Jomez. They even had a live coverage of the last round for free on RUclips. You can't really blame them for it, if you can't keep yourself away from disc golf stuff, when you're waiting for the coverage.
@@aleksipiironen5993 man, I don’t really care that this is a different channel. It all appears on my feed (in fact, literally right next to each other in my subscriptions). They could simply put “winners highlights” with a generic thumbnail and update it to the actual winners name 48 hours later. If they don’t want to be aware of time zones and the release schedule of other major disc golf channels, that’s their choice. All I’m saying is that it will force me to unsubscribe to avoid spoilers.
@William Lee bruh, was I talking to you? I’m telling the channel that I cannot stay subbed if their winners highlights continue to spoil the match (it literally appeared side by side in my subscriptions feed). That’s all. I’m not hating, it’s just a fact. They can do whatever they want.
Also obligatory, “you cared enough to respond to my comment” comment
@@smtx11 then I’ll unsub, it’s no skin off my back
Dumb take, everybody like you who doesn’t want the live information spread around is selfish. The sport won’t grow if it’s only post production. Live sports don’t have spoilers.
Philo and Ian are terrible on commentary
Simon always said Portland was one of his favorite places. Congrats Simon.
It is so great for Simon to prove he is the great player he has always been. It is funny that his focus to win came out of the necessity to keep his arm healthy. It was obvious that he could win when you would see how good he played as “Vlog Simon.” I am sure he would like to be in the Disc Golf Hall of Fame as a player, instead of just as a contributor. Winning a good number of tournaments would do it. If he won fewer, Player of the Year is a factor, and he would probably need to win a Worlds or USDGC to cement it. He is certainly capable of it. If nothing else, I would like to think that we are going to see him with many more wins in the next few years.
Now here is the 2022 dream lead final round lead card in any tournament I would like to see: Simon, Paul, Ricky, and Chris all starting within a stroke of each other. I think, acceptable replacements would be Calvin, Drew, Eagle, Garrett, and Gannon. All the alternates could win it. Garrett is speculation on my part but he seems to be on the rise. Yet, he has to show that his improved putting is here to stay. Eagle needs to get healthy. I think Gannon has proved he can win and play with the best. My guess, in a few years, we will be talking about Gannon as an elite player.
Go Simon!
why is the post production quality worse than my phone tho?
That roll back in bounds on R1H11 was a lot more important than a lot of people though lol
we call it the snowman hole cuz that’s where we get 8’s ⛄️
I like to think uncle Peter had something to do with thoses wins ❤
Usually it is better to be lucky rather than good but this guy was both in Portland.
I could watch him throw all day
