- Discmania is my family. They have made me feel special for 10 years straight. I will always be thankful for everything we have done together and I wish them nothing but the best. Thank you to everyone behind the scenes, working day in and day out, for making my job possible and creating an environment I can only hope to find again. I never get this on these videos. Tons of redundant comments, praising someone you don't know, and commenting on their character, even though you've only seen snippets of them online, mostly that they themselves put out.
Like seriously, instead of writing a paragraph to a guy that doesn't care or know you exist. how about writing one to your wife or kids with as lovely a sentiment as you did here. Save the glory for God brother, cause you don't know the content of his character because you watch RUclips videos of him.

Second, Simon is probably the one person on tour that there is literally no question about the content of his character, he's known for flat out just being a good dude all around. Try harder to troll next time. And there's plenty of "glory" as you'd like to put it for people to impart on both God and humanity. Being a kind person and using kind words isn't only reserved for interactions with God.

I was sad when my friends woke me up to this news this morning. I started playing discgolf this summer, and after finding Simon and Eagle on youtube, discmania is the only brand I've thrown, so learning about this I was definitely bummed out. However, after watching this video, I am happy for you Simon. It was your love for the game that led me to find my love for the game. I wish you nothing but the best, and I am excited what you got in store for us in 2023.

I don't even know how to feel about this (for myself). I am a HUGE Discmania fan, and an even bigger Simon fan. The thought of them not being synonymous is a bit crazy. But at the end of the day, Simon has gotta do what he feels is right for himself and his family and his career... he doesn't need to worry about how me or any other fan feels about it. Simon you are my 11 year old son’s absolute favorite disc golfer. We watch all your vlogs together and he wears your black and red “Sunday” shirt every Sunday. We were lucky enough to see your win at Maple Hill in person this year. The look of pure joy on his face when you lifted the trophy in victory is one of the best “father/son” moments of my life.
It’s definitely a bit sad to see you leave Discmania, but we’re looking forward to what comes next. My son is already excited at the prospect for a potential new “Sunday” shirt . Hope to see you at the MVP Open again next year!

I played my first tournament 3 years before Simon was even born. I've seen and played with some of the best in the world, but I've NEVER seen anyone do what Simon does. It absolutely blows my mind that someone can have that much power AND still have the kind of finesse that makes other legends just shake their head in amazement. I just turned 34 and these last couple of years have been the most important and developmental in my entire life so far. I too lived a cushy, safe life for over 10 years straight but I also got that now or never feeling at the start of my thirties. It even caused a major depression. I took the plunge and it is the best thing I ever did with my life. I've grown more in the last two years than the entire decade before that. You are doing the right thing.
The last 3 minutes of the video are so fun, seeing the young Simon, young Eagle, young Jonathan Gomez, young Erik Oakley, young Brodie Smith, young McBeth, classic trickshots, early wins, recent wins from 2022... Such good times and memories!
I can't wait to see what the future holds for you and your family, Simon! That’s one hell of a farewell tour! Four big wins and so many other times contending. Awesome to see that you ended your tenure with such an entertaining season.
You are one of my favorite Simon you seem to "keep it real" good luck with the new brand and look forward to watching you in 2023. I feel you have to keep challenging yourself or you will just stagnate, some challenges are big and some are small but no matter which we all must keep pressing forward.
Every time I lose motivation to play, be it from lack of motivation or plateauing in performance, all it takes is one video from you to get me right back to where I was. When I was younger I used to be super into skateboarding. Every day before I went out and skated, I would always start off by watching some videos of my favorite pros and I would always be filled to the brim with motivation to go try stuff I never thought I could try (anyone who has skated will know exactly what I'm talking about). Watching you I get those same feelings I had when I was 12. You're the only DG creator I'm subbed to and the only person on youtube I have post notifications on for. You've single handedly kept me in the sport. It's not to think you're the only thing keeping me here, more like you're the only person that can pull that motivation out of me. Wherever you go, I and many others will always be here. Life would be pretty boring without some tough decisions, and hopefully whatever company you go to can spark the same motivation that you've always given me (and many others). Truly one of the greatest players to ever touch a disc and one of the best ambassadors we have for the sport in my eyes.

When I started playing disc golf in 2019, for obvious reasons, I wanted to learn more about this sport. So, I went onto RUclips and one of the first results was the trick shot video with you, Paul and Brodie and ur personality was so infectious and genuine that I continued watching ur videos as I still do today. It doesn’t matter about what disc you throw or who you throw for brother. You are one of those extremely rare classy people who will be loved by most just because of how you represent yourself, your family and the game that no matter what, your faithful true fans will be a part of just about any decision you believe is best for your family and future. We know you love Eagle 🦅 and those Discmania folk..how could you not, they are fantastic.
…with that said I totally 💯 percent agree with a change in order to 1) secure your family’s future and. 2) find that
final gear you need in order to be one of the greatest of ALL time. I’m in my 50’s and have been watching you disc since you were a kid. You have a special gift to do anything with a disc you want at anytime…it’s a super rare thing.
