Reason they didn’t was because Buick sales were through the roof in foreign countries whereas Pontiac was primarily a North American brand and wasn’t doing near as many sales
@@jwjones91 so it doesn’t have the same overheating problems as the Cadillac did in that era? I’m thinking of buying one with 193k miles and not sure what to look out for
@@millyrock4627 Not sure what year but it was somewhere around 2003 or so they used larger head bolts. They didn't overheat much but if they did it would warp the aluminum heads and pull the bolts because they were originally too small. I always heard they had no problems in '04 and '05 models.
@@slaterautosales i seen a 2005 for $6,999 with 144,000 miles and i remember it said GXP or some letters like that, are the spark plugs easy to change.
Great looking car, it was interesting until I see, Northstar, on the head, I don't trust it, I would still pick the 3800 V6, even with less horse power.
Only Pontiac of this era I liked. It was understated & classy...the rest were just over-styled, "Boy racer" -looking, or just odd. They looked cheap & felt cheap
UNderstated class. I don't like many GM cars but always respected this one.
The cockpit holds up well even today.
BRAAAAHHH!!! Oh how do I wish to have to one of these in this minty condition. I flipping love it and miss this 'Ville 💯🤙
Looks just like mine, ole Gram here loves the look, wish we had a 2022 version
I have 2. A black and gray and 2 Grand Prix. A GT and a GXP. LOVE MY PONTIACS
Interior quality is it good or feel like cheap plastic?
I wish they could bring Pontiac back again, especially the Grand Am,Bonneville, etc,....... I don't know if everybody wants the Aztec back.
Aztek is fun lol
This car is the Goat very underrated I actually want one now
I had a Beige 2001 SuperCharged SSEI and that car was my true love ♥️ I think of it still 💔 the HUD & built in airpump in the trunk was so handy 😔
I never heard of their car until I saw one for sale in Saylorsburg Pa.
Why does no one talk about the Bonnevilles?
It’s a freaking airplane cockpit….. love this car❤❤❤
Love it! Wasn't this the era when Pontiac had the marketing slogan "Luxury...with attitude!"?
Yes
Yes, I have that jacket!
GM should've ditched Buick and kept Pontiac
Reason they didn’t was because Buick sales were through the roof in foreign countries whereas Pontiac was primarily a North American brand and wasn’t doing near as many sales
@@jwjones91 maybe so, but they should've kept it. Pontiac made some really neat stuff
You keep the profitable lines, cut the loss leaders.
It was just business.
Na Oldsmobile
Is this car still available?
very seldom do you see these on the road, that thing is dope as hell
Until I watched this video, I wasn't aware that these had a Northstar. I always assumed they had the same 5.3 as the Grand Prix GXP.
Yes but by 2005 they had the NorthStar head gasket issue pretty much sorted out.

A rare car! GM made only 6632 of them....2004 & 2005 model years.
Only thing that sucks about the GXP trim is that they have the Northstar engine instead of the 3800
freakin mint!
Nice footage
Has the same shape as my 2001 grand prix supercharged limited edition..
it did look better without the plastic but inside it was still what you expected from GM at the time
I have owned a 2000 Bonneville SSEi since 2010 and now it's 177k. Looking for a 2004 Bonny V8 or 2008 Grand Prix 5.3 V8, with less than 90k.
I just got an 05 with 81k original miles from this old dude on Facebook for 3k lol
Had a silver one, a 2005. I think yours is prettier
2024
2022
Beautiful car. But they ALL end up with dash lights.
Bonnevilles had full gages for many years. I owned 3 of them.
price on the car?
It's a live no reserve auction. The auction ends on Fri October 15th 2021

Bruh it's 2 cars in 1 😭😂 has a bit of the 8th generation Impala look to it
How much did the car sell for?
The Bonneville sold for $6500

In 2004 and 2005 the problems were fixed.

Too bad it has the unreliable northstar motor tho. Better to have the Grand Prix with the 5.3
Hellcats and scatpacks don't have nothing on this

Got a 04 Gxp with 32v 4.6 v8 northstar with about 120k mileage need gone asap
Get the bonny and out the grand prix gxp 5.3 in the Bonny
