#30 Cover and insulate door niches with wood. I Christoph Felix

Renovating a 140 year old Stone House in the Italian Alps.
I send a long video from the ferry to Palermo, which tells of the work carried out in the last few days of January: I am now completing the door and its niche (or the deep door cut in the stone wall) to form a wooden ensemble. In between, I select a few large stone slabs from a stone slab depot below the village. Old slabs from a roof that had been replaced were stored there. I slowly prepare the forecourt of the house, which is to become a flat, overgrown terrace. In the afternoons, I also trim our hazelnut bushes, which are growing too thickly and should simply be thinned out.

Den Boden unter den Füssen, den Wind in der Nase, rundherum eine Augenweide, die Sonne im Gesicht, gestalten, pflegen, anfassen, spüren, geniessen. Das liebe ich alles auch so sehr.
