Christoph is a filmmaker and video artist from Switzerland. He lived and worked in many different cities such as Zurich, Paris, Brussels, Montréal, Cairo. Today he's based in Basel/Switzerland and travels often to Italy to further develop his house project. Despite a lot of effort and enthusiasm, he thinks that progress is slow and too many ideas have to be postponed...!

I'm continuing to build the kitchen furniture. The counter is getting the size that I had long planned, the structure under the sink is becoming a cupboard (only the cupboard doors are still missing). The dished table top is being made flat with a relief cut. And to finish off the topic of 'wood', firewood for the winter is arriving.

Renovating a 140 year old Stone House in the Italian Alps. With Taki&Esther we lay the new wooden floor made of Douglas fir. We cover the concrete floor with a film that keeps out moisture. On top of that is a slatted frame that we clamp to the sides of the walls.

Renovating a 140 year old Stone House in the Italian Alps. Just a few days in December. I start with 4°C in the house on arrival.... Surprisingly, I'm doing quite well despite everything, continuing with the mortar and some transition areas where the cold is still getting in. Today, Sunday, is a sunny day to spend a few carefree hours outside and enjoy the light.

@@christophfelix je ne l'ai pas écrit dans ce sens mais bien dans le sens 'un joli accent Suisse Allemand'. Je suis Franco-Suisse d'origine vaudoise et bien que je n'ai pas appris l'allemand ni le Suisse Allemand dans mon enfance (passée en France), je trouve le coté musical très joli quand je l'écoute. Bien plus joli que l'allemand d'Allemagne (encore qu'il y a surement de jolies variations là bas aussi). Et l'esprit chalet n'était pas non plus péjoratif, j'adore ca aussi.😄 Bonne continuation

I love the panettone effect of the snow on the roofs. Winter can be quite nice and so quiet in the alps. Some Jazz or Bach, a good fire crisping in the chimney, what do you want more? Have a great xmas!
