Thank you so much, this is the first legwarmer knitting tutorial I've watched that I can actually understand. 😂 Brilliant instructions. I'm looking forward to trying this one!!
How on earth do you think is this for beginners? I was lost in the first minute and gave up since the speed was way too fast. Going back to crochet 😂 I can't find good knitting tutorials for BEGINNERS
I think this is a misunderstanding about what we consider beginner. This is a beginner project because it only uses basic knitting techniques and nothing advanced. It is not for complete newbies who have never knitted before, I assume some basic knowledge. For complete newbies I have made a tutorial series with slow motion video's to teach the basic knitting techniques. I hope this will help you. ruclips.net/p/PL_fqDmKmJ6X83n50BoHoItSDc6sxnVhW2
I'm a beginner and these instructions are perfect. If you don't know how to cast on, knit, and purl, then you need to search for instructions to learn those. Then spend a week or two knitting, then a week or two purling. Then practice knitting one row and purling the next. And just practice these. Once you can tell a knit from a purl without help, you can probably make these leg warmers. I've wanted to knit for years. I finally took a class... And the above is how we started. I do crochet well and find that the continental style works best for me. You can also find knitting books at thrift store fairly cheap.
there are two basic stitches in knitting; the knit stitch and the purl stitch. i suggest you learn those two stitches first before trying out this video!! :)
