@@upholstery1995yeah, it works muscle endurance without bulk, but also smaller muscles you might not target with weights and due to bands having not as much resistance as weights, to failure means more stimulus. @@upholstery1995 No, with resistance bands, due to the stretch of the band, it's challenging in different points of the exercise, I.e you have to be more stable at the top of the exercise as the band has been stretched further, where as with weights you can almost rest at the top. I don’t even really follow football but I’m here after Brady’s 7th ring! Actually he’s not really very buff at all, proves that athleticism is so much more
In football, and soccer and lots of sports, athletes aren’t buff abs swole because it slows them down, u might if ur a lineman or maybe a tight end but even then u just need to be strong, not buff. Even mj was slim aswell
For a football player looking for short rapid explosive moves that would be required to stay alive in the NFL it's probably a good way to train During season. The trainer looks like he knows his shit. I doubt TB settled for some schmuck.
It’s the in-season workout, so basically just to maintain his strength levels and avoid injuries. I‘m sure you can’t get to an NFL level physically by just doing workouts like this
i love how people are negating the fact YOU CAN get buff off bands, (see james grage) and 2 Stallone uses machines and bands now as well. are you calling stallone weak?
Its not a good work out for the common man looking to build muscle or even lose weight. These exact exercises are good for people who have absolutely no strength or mobility. You're better off doing weight training.
Either Tom Brady didn't train like this or he was ripped off 😂 anyone who understands sports physiology can see right through this nonsensical b.s. *He basically trained Tom Brady---- an ELITE athlete and specimen of a man---- like a housewife who doesn't wanna workout 🤦🏽♂️thankfully Brady is physically elite enough that this nonsense can be overriden (as is the case with athletes who have elite genetics and coaches with sub-optimal training)---- but I can only imagine how much better off Brady would've been with legitimate training. So, basically no weight lifting. I heard an argument once that a large number of injuries on the football field happen because players are always lifting weights making their muscles too tight and weakening tendons and ligaments. I also heard no football player should bench press or squat, yet that’s their biggest lifts.
I think you always gotta mix things up like pliability and weights for a good connective tissue health that also leads to longevity for athletes in pro sports.
gloriakmm it doesn’t hurt the knees. Actually using the bands are harmless in causing injury. I’m just speaking for my experiences with TB12 bands. I use them daily.
